Heh, in his video where he talks a bit about Sony's 2021 LCDs, Vincent said he asked Sony why the X95J doesn't come in 55", and they told him it's because they feel 55" OLEDs have come down in price so much that it isn't worth having a 55" X95J competing with their own OLEDs in that size class.

I wondered why there was no 55" X95J. Guess that explains it. Sony are all about da OLED now.

They haven't done it the last few years, so it still came as a pleasant surprise for me.

Do any of these new Sony TVs have an ATSC 3.0 tuner in them. I looked at the specs and didn't see it listed.

The OLED thing was a given when one of the top bods at Sony responded to people aksing for betterer LCDs with the corporate-speak equivalent of "go buy an OLED if you want a better picture", while at the same time phasing out their famed OLED mastering monitor for a dual-layer LCD.

Can’t believe Sony didn’t go mini-LED. Well actually I can. They’re not serious about LCD anymore. That’s too bad. I loved Sony.
