Per rdodolak and mallomar's suggestion, here's what I have in the OP now.

I don't have Che but those aren't the right codes. That verbiage simply reflects the two different layers in this case layer 0 and layer 1. The code should be prefixed by IFPI.

I went through my WellGo discs, and "Shaolin" and "Legend Of The Fist" are browning.
I also think I see the beginning of the problem on "Painted Skin," "War Of The Arrows" and "Helldriver" - there's a kind of tint to those discs that doesn't look right. |

the Well Go USA one is just discovered and the Criterion one seems to be easily fixable through them |

I think we're in danger of overreaction, though. Defective discs happen, that's nothing new. Bringing the Criterion issues to light was completely necessary. But I don't know that it's reasonable to lump in all other defective discs over the years and claim that all of a sudden the sky is falling.
Also something to keep in mind is that these threads, by their very nature, get filled up mostly by people experiencing issues with their discs. I'd wager a large majority of these discs are fine (I haven't had any issues, and I highly doubt I'm the only one). Education about disc issues and a well measured response is perfectly fine, but let's not start going into panic mode. IMO it's both unnecessary and a tad irresponsible. |
