I find CD rot is brown, while DVD rot looks cloudy to me.

Definitely looks like it could be a problematic disc, but I've seen DVDs that looked like that (big brown spots) and still played all the way through.

If I only paid a two or three dollars for it, I'd be inclined to hang onto it if it played and see if developed any problems at a later date just out of curiosity.

I've been noticing a lot of these big brown spots on DVDs lately with newly release discs. I never bothered to check to see if they play since I will always watch it on blu-ray, but was curious whether it is a defect or not. Glad to hear that they still play all the way through. I'm wondering what causes such brown spots on DVD discs and if it could perhaps shorten the longevity of the disc.

I wonder if in the case of the Bonnie and Clyde digibook, the disc holding mechanism of the digibook might play a part in that delamination/rot. There is almost no space between the disc and the plastic when it's in the holder and some people might be digging in with their nails on the edges of the disc to get the disc out, thus perhaps gradually peeling off the top layer.

Mine looks fine. Just as reference the inner ring number: 7Y 2000001526V4.1.A VD 02

Mine has the issue, and I guarantee it has nothing to do with taking it in and out of the case, as I've done that may be twice since owning it.

I did test the disc as well, checking 6-7 spots, and didn't notice any skipping.

We specifically need the IFPI numbers. It'll say "IFPI" and then 4 digits.

there's no mastering IFPI but the mould IFPI is lS2M
