although to be fair... he wasn't certain on those 3...especially since war of the arrows isn't UTech... it's a different IFPI code and Mould code too

Yeah also depending on the light and the reflection of the disc it is sometimes hard to tell if the disc is actually bronzing or not.

I always smile when I read US customers complaining about their own US companies who release bad discs, because here, it's veeeeery common, to a point where you notice when they actually do something good... and the only option is to import.

You say mould, I say mold. . The IFPI is based in the UK so they call it a mould versus mold.

Melted polycarbonate is injected into a mould/mold to create the optical disc substrate.

Just finished checking my 10K6 pressings of Summer Hours, Walkabout and Pierrot. I did a fast-forward play of all three films and their bonus features, and none of them seemed to stutter at any point. None of them show any signs of browning either. Save for actually watching them or doing a full-on scan, I suppose it's the best I can do at this time!

This has happened to me on several Lionsgate discs.
Saw, Saw III, My Bloody Valentine (remake) are three that come to mind.

I have yet to re-purchase any of them.

i'm still checking but can someone confirm that this is the complete list of L0 and L1 titles? i really have no time to run through the hundred+ criterion blu-rays i own for the numbers. i can easily pick out titles but no time to take disc out and look for tiny numbers.

i have been using the below list and running through all the titles. so far my walkabout and summer time is bad

JediFonger, you're trying to reinvent the wheel. Partyslammer already narrowed the date range (linked in my OP). My OP lists everything that has been problematic so far.

The one title that I haven't added yet is Che. Some people are reporting bronzing for either Disc 1 or Disc 2 in their sets, but no one has yet reported outright playback failure.

Lionsgate's problematic BDs show no obvious visual indicator like the bronzing pattern found on Criterion's defective discs. They simply don't play all the way through the movie, often failing to load in your BD player. I believe it was tied to a cheap substrate that often failed after a couple of years on the shelf.

Also, I can't really tell if my "M" is bronzing or not in this comparison. There is a slight tint on the right hand side of the disc, but is that beginning of bronzing or something else?
