On another note, it looks like we traded for Fitzpatrick to compete with Geno and possibly run Gaileys system.

Not a Pats fan. Just love how the Jets celebrate every year during free agency and the draft like they've won it all.

Lol that's funny. Geno steal of the draft. I thought we were going to be bad last year. These moves might push us to .500 or a little past it. Still need to solve the QB puzzle.

I saw that the Texans traded Fitzpatrick for a conditional pick to the Jets today. Probably not a bad move for only a 5th rounder.

On top of that it appears Murray actually reached out to Chip Kelly:

It's possible they can finish 2nd. When's the last time we had a QB who threw more TDs than int lol. Fitz could be that player if he starts, which I hope he does.

As for the draft, if we don't draft Mariota then I'd like to see Shane ray. Then hope DGB is available in rd 2

It's a lot of money on the front-end of the contract, but it's crazy that they would put that much in on one year so early. He's getting a 25.5 million signing bonus (spread out over the 5 years for salary cap purposes) and less than a million base this year, but next year he gets over 23 million base.

They structured it that way to try and prevent teams from getting Clay.

Carter and Harris would've cost too much to keep, Parnell as well. I do wish we could figure out how to make 2nd rounders stick, although I do have high hopes for DeMarcus Lawrence.

With it looking likely Murray will sign with Philly Adam Schefter brought up that while Ryan Matthews agreed to a deal with the Eagles he hasn't actually signed the deal. If they sign Murray it wouldn't be a surprise if Matthews backed out and went somewhere else since he would clearly be a backup to Murray.

According to Schefter, Murray intends to sign today, with Philly.
Now it just remains to be seen if this is a leverage play to get Dallas to ante up?
Either way I'm liking this whole story line!
