But yes, a game without Tom Brday is less valuable than a game with Tom Brady. Everyone knows this...or almost everybody.

And no it's called setting a precedent, and that's what Brady is doing. It's a total invasion of privacy. That just a fact!
Injuries happen all the time. It doesn't devalue the sport lol . Stars retire, yet the sport keeps going and creates new ones.

It's the NFL brand and the brand doesn't lose value especially when it comes to rectifying someone cheating the integrity of the game. If the public loses faith in the integrity of the sport, then you have no longer have a sport. Everyone knows this. Well maybe not everyone .

lol. That's what a guilty party wants you to believe. If you want to vehemently deny the accusations, then you do everything in your power to prove them wrong. By being uncooperative and combative, you portray yourself as hiding something. They also have third-party texts that show that he did know about the balls. Everyone wants to sacrifice those two gentlemen in order to shield the wonderful Tom Brady. It's a shame he didn't come clean. Lie and deflect your way out of legitimate accusations. The Tom Brady way

I thought you were done talking about this . Seems like you're eating Pringles. Once you pop, you can't stop.

Lol! Okay! Subtract the biggest asset from anything and it loses no value. The MFL is no different. Yes, the sport is big enough to go on, I never said it would grind to halt sans Brady!
As I said Brady is set for life, has 4 rings, records and will be a first ballot. He doesn't need to do anything at all. I'm sure he's mad he can't play with his teammates, but that's because the NFL is making something out of nothing!
Well, check that it gives Jets fans something to look forward too!

If this is the only thing to talk about, I can talk all season long...or until the subject loses air! Wahahahahaahahah!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Gang Green in action with Bowles . Just as you are excited to see the disaster that will be the Philadelphia Eagles.

lol what does Brady being set for life have anything to do with the current situation. And who said anything about the sport grinding to a halt? I said the game keeps going and revenue will still be coming in record numbers with or without Brady. Same with Peyton. Same with any player. The NFL is bigger than any 1 individual no matter their credentials.

I'm not the one giving conflicting statements on wanting to talk about this subject . Either you do or you don't

You sure do love you some Tom Brady. Perhaps you should start a petition for the Public defense of Saint Brady

We shall see.....

Brady being set for life is exactly why he won't, or should not, turn over his phone. Doing that in an attempt to remove 2 games admits fault. He can sit four games and legacy will be in tact.
Sorry, you subtract an asset you lose value. I'm pretty sure most anyone, besides a Jets fan(or any of my other detractors on this site) would roundly agree. It's simple business actually.

Lol, I don't love Tom Brady, just respect him as a player. I can say that with no bias. Can you?

The NFL brand will not lose value in the long-term. You are thinking short-term. The NFL will continue to print money as if it's a mint. Suspending one player 4 games does not affect the value of the NFL whatsoever in the long term. You want to say it loses some viewers. Maybe. The Pats will still sell out the home opener and the money will keep on rolling in.

Of course you respect him as a player . Still doesn't mean this situation that they put themselves in warrants a complete dismissal. If you're going to cheat, you better make damn sure you don't get caught. He did and now he's facing the music. Pretty cut and dry IMO. If this happened to say the Arizona Cardinals, it would be the same reaction. Don't mess with the integrity of the sport. Don't bet on games, don't attempt to gain a competitive advantage by breaking rules, and don't lie when caught doing either of those things. This isn't rocket science...

Yes I do, I'd love to have him on my team.
Yes, yes, we all get that. And no, if this was Arizona it probably wouldn't even make headlines. It's because it's, arguably, the best and most recognizable team currently in the NFL. Also I'm sure Brady's smug remarks after the Baltimore game about league officials didn't cool the fires either.
But hey, that's all in the rear view now. The only thing that remains to seen is will Brady stand or fold. I think he stands. Either way by week 5 this is totally forgotten except when used as a punchline. For everyone involved. :lolcry
Yep, definitely not rocket science.

Of course I'm talking about short term! Why would I be talking about this two decades from now?

Of course you'd love to have him on your team. You have no QB. Just as I would take him on my team lol. Hell I'd take the cheater over what he have in a heartbeat . Fact still remains if you cheat and are discovered doing so, you take your lumps and move on.

What financial impact will this have? Viewership goes down a smidge? I'll laugh when viewership goes up. The impact is so minute that it does not even need to be discussed because it's a non-issue. Only one grasping for straws would attempt to make such an argument.

Oh no doubt that it's getting this much press because it comes from a franchise who was previously caught cheating. And when it happens to one of the stars of the game, of course it's bigger. What I'm saying is I would have the same reaction if it was Carson Palmer and not Tom Brady.

All QBs adjust the footballs to their liking. Aaron Rodgers is on record saying he prefers over inflated. Guess he's a cheater too!
Brady is taking his lumps, but they will be nothing. He will ride off into the sunset, I'm sure.
Like I said this whole issue is so minuscule in scale, it will be relegated to punchline status soon.

If he's overinflating the balls past the regulated requirements, then yes he is. Fortunately for Rodgers, he wasn't caught doing it in the NFC Championship. And I can guarantee that he won't be overinflating balls anymore lol. No one is saying Brady will be greatly affected by this with regards to his legacy. It's a small chink in his armor. It's a small one, but nonetheless it's still there.

Of course it will. Most things like this become relegated to a punchline. Spygate is relegated to a punchline at this point. The Falcons questionable tactics is a punchline at this point.

Nah! Only folks that will remember this are those that don't like Brady/New England. Most reasonable folks will have given it it's 2 minutes and dismiss it.
Might pop in the booth announcers broadcast during a lull in the game.
Which is fine by me.

lol people will remember. It's just time heals all ailments. They just won't be voicing it nearly as much as they are now. Well until the Pats are caught cheating again

Yes because there's so many 35 year old QBs who can't scramble winning their 5th championship.
