Game 1 in Chicago for the Packers is going to be very telling.

The defense against the Eagles was our 1st string defense. Yikes. Yeah, it's preseason, but they got lit the F up.

As of now I haven't seen anything on the net about Cobb and his long term status, but if he's out, then it's going to be a lot of weight on Aaron Rodgers shoulders to make receivers out of the "leftover" receivers. He's historically done well with 2nd or 3rd tier receivers, but to have your top 2 go down is just devastating. Some of the 3rd, 4th, and even 5th string WR's could get a chance to make a name for themselves this year.

Our punter is under the gun. He can't get any hang time on his kicks and all around our special teams doesn't look like it's improved very much during the off season.

Like Blu-Benny said, it could make for a very loooooooooong season. We've gotta keep #12 safe, that's for damn sure.

From the sounds of it even if Snyder would sign off on a trade there's virtually no market for RGIII. This is a case where the team exercising the 5-year option made a player less valuable. Even though the 5th-year option is only guaranteed for injury there's a big fear that RGIII could suffer another injury and a team could get stuck paying RGIII $16.1 million in 2016. There's serious talk that RGIII could get cut if the front office can convince Snyder because nobody on the football side wants RGIII.

Jackson was from Division III Coe College, which is part of the Iowa Conference, and I graduated from an Iowa Conference school as well so even though he played for a division rival of the Patriots I was always a fan of Jackson. Not sure if he'll get a shot with someone else, but if he doesn't he's had a great career for someone who had to go through indoor football and NFL Europe on his way to the NFL.

Pretty surprised we just traded our kicker Josh Scobee to the Steelers who were in need of a replacement kicker.

Scobee is the Jags all-time leader in points scored for the franchise. That's what happens when your offense has always been almost dead last the past decade and you can only score FGs.

The court hearing in the Brady case was brief today and is already done, with the judge saying he'll announce a decision as early as tomorrow and definitely by Friday.

Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb feared a broken collarbone when he was first injured in Saturday’s game against the Eagles, but they were able to rule out an injury of that severity before the night was over.

Cobb went for further tests on Sunday and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that he has been diagnosed with a “minor” AC joint sprain.

It’s a better outcome than a broken collarbone, certainly, but Cobb probably can’t be assured of playing against the Bears in Week One. Players have missed good chunks of time with similar injuries — Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson hasn’t played at all in the preseason after spraining his AC joint early in training camp — and it will take some time before the Packers will have a clear idea about his status.

If Cobb can’t play, the Packers would start their season without both of their top wideouts since Jordy Nelson is out with a torn ACL. Barring any additions from outside the organization, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis and Ty Montgomery would likely be the top three receivers in their absence.

That's refreshing news. We can likely let him rest week 1 against the Bears. However, it'd be nice to have him back for the Seahawks at Lambeau week 2.
