I have a lot of family in Minnesota, that's where a lot of my mother's side of the family is from. Sure we probably wouldn't be able to afford to go to the game, even the nosebleeds are prohibitively priced but at least it could give us a really good reason to go up there and see family we usually don't see. Plus it would be nice for the Vikings to both win their first Lombardi and become the first team ever to win it while hosting it. Well nice for the Minnesota relatives, it would have a marginal if best impact on my demeanor.

Detroit Lions, NFL champions four times in 1935, 1952, 1953, and 1957; appeared in one other NFL Championship Game in 1954; and appeared in one NFC Championship Game in 1991[70]

In addition, Detroit, Houston and Jacksonville have hosted Super Bowls; this means Cleveland is the only current NFL city that has neither hosted, nor had their team play in, a Super Bowl.
Teams with Super Bowl appearances but no victories
Nine teams have appeared in the Super Bowl without ever winning. In descending order of number of appearances, they are:
Buffalo Bills (4), appeared in Super Bowls XXV, XXVI, XXVII, and XXVIII. Their second and last AFL championship was in 1965, the season prior to the first Super Bowl.
Minnesota Vikings (4), appeared in Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX, and XI. They were NFL champions in 1969, the last year before the AFL–NFL merger.
Cincinnati Bengals (2), appeared in Super Bowls XVI and XXIII. An AFL expansion team in 1968, they have no pre-Super Bowl league championships.
Philadelphia Eagles (2), appeared in Super Bowls XV and XXXIX. Their last championship was in 1960.
Carolina Panthers (2), appeared in Super Bowls XXXVIII and 50. A post-merger expansion team, their first season was in 1995.
Arizona Cardinals (1), appeared in Super Bowl XLIII. Their last championship was in 1947 as the Chicago Cardinals.
Atlanta Falcons (1), appeared in Super Bowl XXXIII. An expansion team in 1966, they have no pre-Super Bowl league championships.
San Diego Chargers (1), appeared in Super Bowl XXIX. Their only AFL championship was in 1963.
Tennessee Titans (1), appeared in Super Bowl XXXIV. Their second and last AFL championship was in 1961 as the Houston Oilers.
Teams with long Super Bowl droughts
The following eight teams have appeared in the Super Bowl, but not since 1995, meaning their droughts are longer than Jacksonville's and Houston's.
Two of these teams have not appeared in the Super Bowl since the AFL–NFL merger in 1970:[75]

The Broncos' defense not only got the last laugh on dabbing by putting on one of the most impressive showings in Super Bowl history against the Panthers, but Denver's defensive coordinator just got the last word on dabbing.
Wade Phillips, fresh off a Super Bowl 50 win in which is unit gave up just 10 points, sent this tweet Monday morning.

Yes, Phillips had an unfortunate typo and "with" should be "will,' but his point about the Panthers' constant dabbing was made loud and clear.
This hasn't been confirmed yet, but there were four NFL players reportedly involved in the incident. This story could get bigger yet.

I agree that it was a classic example of the media just prodding for a reaction...BUT...no doubt Cam could've displayed much better body language and actually communicated. I mean why give the hate brigade more ammo?
I don't dislike the guy, but his way over-the-top celebrating came to a crashing halt on the game's biggest stage, and he acted like a baby instead of taking it like a man.
Maybe he wins it all next season, and then we see happy Cam?

Cam Newton SHOULD have, of his own accord, in an opening statement, summed up the game, how he was feeling, and what he thought of how his team played and how the other team played. There really are some Minimum requirements and expectations for being the Face of a Franchise. Cam is clearly *not* meeting those minimums.
Cam needs to be "coached" on how to give a losing press conference. Cam is very *bad* example of how to handle losing. And for most of us, losing is a fact of life, in *real* life, that is...

I'm still not 100% sure what dabbing is, guessing it's some kind of dramatic pointing. I guess I'm just kinda glad the Panthers are still winless in the Super Bowl and it's in large part due to the terrible performance of this year's League MVP.

The Broncos cornerback marched up to his podium with his three children and let out an enthused, “Yoooooo” after Denver beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 for his first championship ring. The night didn’t start out too positively for Talib, who was charged with two personal fouls in the first 20 minutes of action. “It was all good,” Talib assured. “It was B.S. flags. One was on our sidelines — the guy was talking on our sideline. One I just did on purpose, and I just had to show him. It’s probably going to be a fine, but hey, we’re world champs.” Talib’s first personal foul came when he was called for taunting after pushing Panthers wideout Corey Brown out of bounds following a Broncos sack. “We were just talking, and it was getting a little chippy, so the ref picked me to slow the game down,” Talib said. “We didn’t do anything. We were just talking noise to each other, me and (Brown), a regular conversation.” The second was thrown when he yanked Brown out of bounds by the receiver’s facemask to prevent a touchdown. Talib downplayed the impact of the foul. “My teammates knew what it was,” Talib said. “He was on the 3-yard line.
