Didn't one of the off duty police officers drive himself to the hospital, I thought I had read?
Sure hope he was the designated driver of the group!

It's the only real topic in the NFL right now. It'll fade after this week... As talks switch to combine/draft, free agency, etc.

I was at least glad Cam swallowed his pride enough to go up to Peyton and put a smile on his face. Watching live, I thought he was going to walk straight to the locker room.

But the way he handled the media was wrong. I don't think that can be argued. Are we making a bigger deal out of it than we should? Yea probably. But it was a big deal because of the way Cam carried himself the whole season. Like I had said way way back... He was getting too cocky and needed to tone it down. I think Cam forgot how to handle losses with the Panthers success this season.

He hasn't exactly handled tough losses well in the past, but people forgot about it since the Panthers were 17-1. You can find plenty of pictures with the towel over his head on the sidelines. I also specifically remember him giving a pretty pouty post-game conference two or three years ago.

The one thing I respect about Cam through all of this... He says he won't change for anyone. Although I really think Ron Rivera needs to take him aside and explain that he has to handle losses better in the future... What's going to happen if the Panthers start 0-2 or 0-3? Can Cam handle that? Or will he implode?
Yeah, seems like it.

Cam has the towel on his head even when they're up 30 points. People treat Cam like he participated in dog fighting, or raped women in the bathroom, or killed people driving drunk. People are making a big deal out of the loser comment. I don't see anyone calling Vince Lombardi names because he said it first. So they didn't like his demeanor during the press conference. Belichick acts the same way, he just doesn't leave. Is this going to affect his play on the field? Absolutely. The guy is a serious workout warrior and film room junkie. He's going to be even better next year because he hates to lose.

Next week I'll change it. Let the Super Bowl results sink in at least a week before we move to the offseason.

That's how we roll on Blu-ray.com

Some news commentators are whining that Peyton did not receive the kind of negative comments that Cam is receiving, when Peyton left his previous SB game early, with no shaking the hand of the other QB.

But here's the thing. The NFL, as far as I know has --NO-- requirement or expectation that ANY player, after a game, go up and initiate shaking ANYONE'S hand.

BUT, I do believe that the NFL has requirements and expectations for the QBs of making yourself available for the Press, after a Big Game like the SB, whether you won the game, or lost the game.

But, as a "Black" man, I guess Cam just doesn't feel like fulfilling that requirement. Must go against his "black" sensibilities, or something. That expectation was probably written by a white man anyway.

He was available to the press as required any how. He answered their stupid questions after the game. He just didn't answer them the way the media wanted him to. That's their problem. He did what was required of him.

Brandon Marshall said it best on Inside the NFL. There's the game on the field and there's the game off the field. You can't win the media game.

Cam has to learn to play nice with the media. They have a lot of power to mold peoples perception of him. Use it to your advantage.

That is assuming he cares about how people perceive him. I think he revels in the hate. Back in college he seemed to like the hate directed at him too.
