Yes - if he sits out the season he can go into the 2017 draft.

I'd love to see Bosa sit out the season because he'd probably end up getting picked somewhere in the teens and end up with a contract worth 1/2 of what the Chargers are offering with 1/3 of the signing bonus, offsets, and he wouldn't hit free agency until a year later than if he signs now. Bosa and his reps have to realize that is the case so I'm surprised they've taken such a hard line stance over $2.5 million in deferred money and offsets that almost certainly wouldn't come into play.

A career-ending injury would serve Bosa right. I wished the same thing for JD Drew but it never happened.

Agree or disagree with how negotiations are going with the guy and the team, that's just terrible to wish something like that on anybody.

And get drafted by the Chargers again in another pissing contest. Too bad it can't happen.

Belichick likes to pick up players that were high draft picks but have largely been flops. From the 2013 draft he's now got #6 pick Mingo and #7 pick Jonathan Cooper, and from the 2012 draft he's got pick #19 Shea McClellan. He probably thinks that there had to be a reason they were picked so high so they could be solid contributors with the right coaching.

The Jean-Pierre Paul lawsuit against ESPN is closer to trial. This relates to Adam Schefter Tweeting out the private medical records of JPP when he was in the hospital after the fireworks injury that mangled his hand. It would seem he has a legitimate case against the hospital and ESPN for HIPAA violations.

As he should. Said it right when I saw that post that Schefter and ESPN were in trouble.

ESPN has privacy concerns, but nothing to do with HIPAA.

Despite having so many nice pieces on their team, the Falcons are just not good.

I'm starting to wonder if Matt Ryan is the problem.

I've been thinking that for a while now...to me, he plays scared. Very milquetoast indeed.
