Chad Pennington was pretty good he was also injured alot and then year farve was there he was injured. If he stuck around jets could have been champs. Those 09-10 defense were pretty badass.

Who gives a crap. You act like Sanchez was the main reason they won those games. He wasn't not even close. When it came time for him to win THE game to get to the Super Bowl he couldn't do it. His defense or running game couldn't bail him out and the Jets had to rely on his arm in both AFCCG he played in and he failed. I'm so sick of hearing about playoff wins. I've been watching the NFL since the mid 80s and I never started hearing about QBs and playoff wins until the early 2000s. It was about and still should be about winning Super Bowls and at least getting your team there which Sanchez didn't do. The playoff win argument has always been a thing of convenience when it's time to bring out some stat to puff your chest out at. 'Hey look how many playoff wins Mark Sanchez has, he's got twice as many as Romo but well he still doesn't have and Super Bowl wins but playoff wins will suffice.'

I get what you're saying and yes, the ground and pound run game along with a stellar defense did in fact carry those particular teams far. That being said, not only did Sanchez make some particularly nice throws during both of those runs, he didn't make mistakes that led to them losing both AFCCGs.
