I pose this question every year to my FF buddies:

OBJ over Evans, for me, but very close.

Fast forward to week 7/8/9, what is everyone either looking for on the waiver wire or trying to trade for? Running Backs.

What most of the stories about this study aren't highlighting is only 12% of the people surveyed said they watched less football last year, and out of those 12% 26% blamed the protest, so in reality only about 3% of the people surveyed said they watched less football because of the protests. The study also showed 27% of the respondents said they watched more football last year and 62% said they watched just as much.

Wouldn't matter to me, if I were running a business and was losing revenue due to an isolated, easily correctable, instance regardless of the percentage.

I'm so sick of having to hear about Crapperdick. First, the unnecessary kneeling, and now all the crap about no teams signing him.

The dude is not a good QB, add to it that he's now a distraction. Let it be.

So you think its ok to reach for Freeman with the 6th pick in first round? My issue is I know that freeman will be gone at end of first or begging of 2nd or so. but then Evans is the same thing

We have no idea which RBs will be off the board at 6, might be one who's not in a time share with another RB1A/B.

Not knowing how you score your league, but assuming it's close to standard, also how any teams?
I would take OBJ then Freeman then Evans.
If it's PPR then I would take OBJ/Evans/Freeman

IMO, OBJ trumps them both. He will probably be top 3 WR, if not THE top WR taken off the board. Evans is definitely a top 10(maybe top 5), and Freeman is a top 10 RB(maybe top 5).

All three are pretty solid, but OBJ has the biggest upside, IMO. Especially in a PPR league.

Interesting! So he did is just last month, not...say...a year ago. Maybe it's spin control, maybe not.
He also donated during the season last year

OBJ was decent for me last season but did disappear in some games. He is also acting like a candy ass this season with his contract so buyer beware.

As teams report to camp we've got a couple holdouts. Raiders left tackle Donald Penn didn't report. He's entering the second year of the two-year, $11.9 million deal. Aaron Donald also didn't report for the Rams. He's got two years left on his rookie deal and while his reps and the Rams have talked about a deal nothing is close.

It takes a really precious little snowflake to refuse to watch NFL games because one guy on one team not standing up offends their delicate little sensibilities. They need to suck it up and stop getting triggered so easily.

People seriously need to stop with crap like this.

Would you tell a minority that was offended by something you weren't to "suck it up and stop getting triggered"?

Military men take the flag very seriously, and it is not for you or anybody else to claim they shouldn't.

Pretty sure football ranks third behind family and country so it is serious for some people.

Yes. If I viewed them as being overly sensitive I would. I tend to take issues of race seriously so I can't imagine many scenarios where I would. Kaepernick's protests seemed counter productive but the excessive attention people gave him over it kept the stunt going for so long. And for what it's worth I think a large % of people are straight up lying in this poll. Kaepernick won't be in the league this year but who wants to bet the TV ratings keeps dropping? Fact is people aren't watching because they're cutting the cord, not because some dude kneels or sits. Happening across most pro sports.

If we're talking specifically about military service members I'm sure the overwhelming majority don't care either way about Kaepernick. They fight for a lot of reasons, one of which being the right for people to be knuckleheads. I suspect most folks claiming they stopped watching over Kaepernick have never served. They're the bumper sticker patriot brigade.

I've said it before Kap is a follower someone told him to do this and he did. I don't think he's a bad guy I just think his methods were very wrong. No matter your color you love your mama and your country but he hasn't done anything to show me that he's all in on football. An interview setting the record straight would be nice but I'm not sure he has the talent to overcoming the negative attention.

If I were these teams... suspend them. They are in a contract that they signed. Either play or sit down.

What a shock, yet another suspension on the Cowboys defensive:

Nope, nor did I claim to be. I know I'm not "smarter than the generals" unlike other people who make that claim for themselves. Though I tend to think knowing as many military people as I do I tend to pickup on how they view certain things. All the ex military guys I hang with at the pubs on Sundays still go and generally don't care about Kaepernick. Certainly not enough to not watch football.

I actually work on a military base and I can tell you no one likes him there. They have a name for him that's pretty awful and I'll just leave it at that.
