So let's not take a QB then in the top 10 because of Leaf and Russell. Or RGIII. Or whoever.

The only positions you don't draft in top 10 is fullback and special teams.

No, I clearly said taking a quarterback in the first round is a good idea, especially in the top 10. Franchise cornerstones are hard to come by, think there's only 10 of them in the NFL at any given time. Ugh, Iggles look hard to beat, they're probably going to win the division easily.

Duh, I know what you said. You think franchise QB's come in the first round, especially Top 10, which does happens sometimes.

You think because Dallas took a bust at CB in the top 10 that no team should ever draft a DB in the top 10, which is absolutely absurd - as I showed some of the greatest DBs in NFL history that were drafted in the top 10. So the notion that 1 bust means you shouldn't draft a DB in the top can be applied for any other position, ESPECIALLY QB. Leaf. Russell. RGIII. Luck (maybe). Bradford (even it not for his fault, exactly, but still).

What a great night. Eagles win, go to 6-1, one of my best buds is in town and a Skins fan so we got to watch the game together, he ended up winning a raffle at a local sports bar for a Corona bucket and I won a raffle for an Eagles hat

Week off to a damn good start haha

Eagles are looking really good they’ve won all their division games Wentz should be considered for the MVP if he keeps it up

Seriously Carson Wentz is doing stuff that I didn’t think was humanly possible. His 3rd down conversion rate is just sick!
How the hell did he not only escape a surefire sack, but complete a TD pass to Clement in the corner of the end zone. Then late in the game on 3rd & 8, the entire pocket swallowed him up and he somehow stays on his feet and runs for the first down.
M V P... M V P!!

Now comes the hard part: dealing with all the injuries. This was The Body Bag game part 2

Wentz escaping that sack was an amazing point in the game. Entire room was on their feet. Even all my Skins friends can't help rooting for Wentz... at least when he's not playing Washington

Big injuries though. Hicks and Peters are gonna be missed, hopefully at least Hicks can be back soonish. Should also be getting Darby back in the near future, hopefully at least by the time we go to Dallas. THAT game will be tough but we've got a fairly decent stretch coming up: hosting SF, hosting Denver (will be tough but winnable), go to Dallas, and then hosting the Bears.

We really need to capitalize on the general landscape of the League this season. No real dominant teams, ones that would be considered shoo-ins have been hurt by injuries (and in Dallas' case, a possible suspension). We gotta take advantage of this and make the most of the season. Off to a great start so far, just gotta keep sustaining it.

I wish I could’ve gone out to watch the game. Talk about a roller coaster ride. It was a good win, and I will enjoy it. Still a long way to go and I don’t trust that SoS one bit. As you said, the league is nuts this year. Difficult to get a read on teams. I’m amazed that I’m currently in 2nd place in my pick ‘em pool with 67 correct picks.

Fly Eagles Fly, nice surprise there along with the Rams and Jacksonville this season.

The only bad thing is teams that peak this early end up getting bounced 1st or not even making the playoffs. We will see.

Torn ACL and MCL for Jason Peters. Initially the Eagles thought he only tore the MCL, but the MRI showed both ligaments were torn. There's a good chance this will be career-ending as Peters is almost 36.

I don't see how he can keep being a starting LT in the NFL with a bum leg, no.

Damn shame, looks like Hicks is gone for the year too. Mad props to both for getting us this far.

I thought it would be overturned since he got tossed fairly early last week, guess not.
