Steelers LG Ramon Foster and C Maurkice Pouncey expressed frustration with Le'Veon Bell continuing his holdout on Wednesday.

"What do you do? Here’s a guy who doesn’t give a damn, so I guess we’ll treat it as such. I just hate it came to this," Foster said. "He’s making seven times what I make, twice as much as [LT] Al [Villanueva] is making and we’re the guys who do it for him." Pouncey added, "The business part...I get it. But not if it's game day. We have a game this Sunday, we're all the way into the game plan and you're still not here?" Players typically side with players on money, but not when it's costing the team potential wins with Bell not showing up. This is getting ugly for Bell.

Yeah they're not wrong, Bell is being a crybaby, which I've always found to be the wrong way to act during negotiations.

You pretty much never see teammates publicly criticizing a teammate holding out like the Steelers players are criticizing Bell, so my guess is the players and Bell have had issues in the past. If James Conner plays well early in the season it's certainly possible the Steelers could rescind the franchise tag and let Bell go.

At this point if the locker room AND the front office are unhappy with him, Bell probably wants to walk anyway. He never liked the tag. He'll find a new home that'll pay him top dollar within a week, just might not be a championship contender.

But this is all dependent on Conner being a viable replacement, as you say. That's a BIG if.

Overreacting to the Lee injury, maybe. I just dunno how a team that got shellacked by the other TWICE last season can still be considered better, especially without having made any major changes (at least that I can think of off the top of my head).

Are they?

Cleveland's defense was pretty solid last year against the run, and this year is even better. I know we all joke about Cleveland, Clueless Hue and his 1-31 record, but this team is really progressing everywhere. Cleveland can definitely beat them this Sunday.

Versus playing NE or even BAL right out of the gates? Yeah I think so, but that's just my opinion. Not remotely saying CLE isn't a solid team, but I would say they aren't as gelled a team as some of the others out there in the league that have a longer tenured HC, coaching staff and players. Not a knock on CLE...I think that they're definitely on the right path and that they'll give PIT a run for their money with the potential for an upset...that's expected of a division foe that's on the rise. You know what they say...any given Sunday.
