I see a snowball, I doubt they win another game this year. We got through the easy part, now comes the gauntlet. They should've been 6-2 right now but they're morons so they're 3-5 with Philadephia, Atlanta and so on on deck. 3-7 is coming and at that point not enough players will keep trying to get wins. Lions have fired a coach but not the right one why is Jim Bob Cooter still employed

The struggling Lions have made a coaching staff change.

Joe Marciano has been fired as special teams coordinator.

“Tonight I spoke to Joe and informed him of my decision to relieve him of his responsibilities with our team,” Lions head coach Matt Patricia said in a statement. “I appreciate Joe’s leadership of our special teams units over the last three and a half seasons and have great respect for his many years of service as a coach in the National Football League. On behalf of our team and the entire coaching staff, I want to personally thank Joe for his commitment to the Detroit Lions and wish him and his family the best moving forward.”

Patricia decided to keep Marciano this year as a holdover from Jim Caldwell’s staff. The Lions’ special teams have struggled across the board, with kicker Matt Prater, punter Sam Martin and the returners all having bad years.

We both want the same thing, just have varying views on how the Lions need to get to the point we want them to be at. Me personally i want to see 4-5 years of playoffs in a row, with some Playoff wins not just wildcard appearances to me that's progress

Allen Park — A day after firing special teams coordinator Joe Marciano, Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia offered a vote of confidence for offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.

"I think all of our coaches have really worked hard," Patricia said. "They're doing everything they can to help us win each and every week and Jim Bob obviously falls in that category. He's done a really good job for us this year.

"We're certainly looking to get better, which obviously when you come out of a week where we don't perform well enough on Sunday, it's easy to kind of look at all that. But we do a good job of all that, self-assessing, and moving forward, getting ready for Chicago. I think Jim Bob has done a great job with the offense here for a long time and continues to do that."

Just got a call from a buddy that he has an extra ticket for Monday nights SF-NYG game. This will be my first regular season NFL game ever (been to a preseason game at Candlestick years ago) and first time at Levi's stadium! Plus, this looks like a winnable game for the Niners.

Yep, I scooped him up in the leagues I could. I guess there's one league he's still available, but I don't want to drop any of my current players for.

I doubt it, they're clearly bringing him in to be the #3 to Smith and Thomas. Smith isn't even doing much, Dez probably won't either.

I've got Tre'quan Smith so hopefully this opens him up a bit more if DBs are focusing on Dez and MT. Of course, the Saints need to actually sign Dez first lol

Basically a depth move for both my teams. Only need a few end zone fades. Dude should be well rested for a FF playoff run...AND he’s finally got a proven winner at QB throwing to him.

I’m surprised Washington isn’t kicking the tires on him. They need WR help. Of course I’m glad if they don’t, but If he signs with New Orleans...they are gonna be scary good.
