As expected Philly picked up the $20mil option on Foles and he paid $2mil to void it. Now they can place the franchise tag on him to trade, or let him walk.
I’m curious what happens to that $2mil. Is it deducted from the salary cap? Or does it just go back into Laurie’s PayPal account? I don’t recall this happening with a marquee player before and if it did just neve paid attention.
None of the reports out there really discuss that minor aspect. Looking at Philly’s dire cap situation I will take any/all discounts...to include BOGO, stacking coupons, etc..

The $2M he's giving back is/was his signing bonus - which typically is part of the salary cap, although can be prorated for up to 5 years.

Not a surprise, this has been rumored since he left Ohio State. The part that is interesting is Bret Bielema has reportedly been telling people for weeks that he was going to get the Patriots DC job. Wonder if Bielema gets any consideration for any other DC jobs or stays with New England in another role.

Wow, Antonio Brown must really pull the purse strings tight. Evidently the mother of his daughter, per the police report, accused Brown of pushing her down(leading to an injured wrist) after she confronted him about paying for their daughters hair appointment. You couldn’t even make this stuff up if you tried.

Stay classy AB! The yinzers up in Da Burgh must be hating life right about now:
Bell gone. Brown probably gone. Tomlin is a disaster. Missed the playoffs. Browns on the rise(maybe).
I can’t wait to visit the In-Laws this summer.
