Curious to see how this affects Sunday Ticket.
I rarely say a private equity buyout is a good thing, but it can't be any worse than AT&T.

TPG could potentially lose bargaining power, but AT&T's TV division is losing customers by the millisecond and it may end up being about the same.

"In his first season calling plays since 2012, OC Jason Garrett led an offense that finished 31st in points, 31st in red zone trips ending in a touchdown, 30th in passing EPA, 30th in plays, and 27th in adjusted sack rate. Clap it up"

Curious to see how this affects Sunday Ticket.
It could be it for the exclusivity after the current contract expires, and this would be the end of DTV. On other boards many people are still hanging around just because of ST.

There are some rumors about AppleTV and Amazon making a bid for NFL Sunday Ticket for the streaming side.

ST is about to go wide to all providers starting next year. DTV lost the one exclusive everyone loved. It is still technically the best service picture wise but when AT&T bought them they went downhill customer service wise.

Directv has it for 2021 & 2022 so the new deal for whoever gets it wouldnt start till the 2023 season just like the new cbs/fox/nbc deals.
Only the current espn deal is done after 2021.

So this Wilson trade is picking up traction again. Reports are that hi management team sent SEA front office a list of preferred destinations which include - MIA, NO, NYJ & LV
Lots of funny memes online showing a pissed off Jamal Adams seeing NYJ on the list
I still can't believe this is actually even being talked about, seemed to come out of nowhere

Earlier this week, it was reported that Watson would waive his no-trade clause for the N.Y. Jets, Miami and Carolina.

Seahawks’ QB Russell Wilson has not demanded a trade, his agent Mark Rodgers told ESPN. Wilson has told the Seahawks he wants to play in Seattle but, if a trade were considered, the only teams he would go to are the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, Bears.

Not to mention, ya gotta think that not everyone across the country has access to the high speed internet capabilities required to produce even a decent picture with no lag, drop-outs, delay, etc., but plenty of folks got room for a dish in the remotest of locations.

The Athletic is saying Russ met with Carroll to give input, address the o-line and felt his input wasn't valued and that Pete and his sons answer to no one.
Fan consensus on Twitter seems to say fire Pete (his age - won't want to rebuild, him and Schneider don't draft well) and keep Russ.
As a Niner fan I still hate the Seahawks but this all just seems insane to me.

Rumors are HOU is turning away all Watson inquiries. Not sure if they are playing hardball or being stubborn. This one is weird to me because while I think a player should always honor the contract they signed, this team is not at all the same as when he signed. They have jettisoned all surrounding talent, changed coaching staff and the ownership just seems to be inept. It's not logical to have one key piece, franchise QB, and not surround him with a team he can win with now. They would be better off trading him for a team willing to give up everything and just rebuild.

Gotta love the “I’m not asking for a trade, but if you are going to do it these are the teams I’ll play” for spiel.

Personally i think Seattle has gotten pretty much all the best years out of him already and is why they are not shy about moving on from him. We have seen over and over again that today's NFL you need a good qb playing on his rookie deal to really make some long term waves, or have a goat alien that doesn't age and doesnt mind not being the highest paid guy.

The one thing I'll say against Watson is that he signed the contract after they'd already traded Hopkins. He should've known how bad the organization was, but hey, I dunno if I could've turned down that kind of money either.

Houston can rebuild for a decade and still never land a QB as good as Watson. They need to make their peace with him however they can, even if it means firing guys in the front office. No one there is more valuable to them than Watson is.

Who will budge first, the Texans or Deshaun Watson? Will he really sit out? Are they not tempted by any offers? Will they just kiss and make up?

More importantly, will any of it affect my team?
