I'm happy with the Dolphins draft so far. Looks like I'll have to set aside my strong dislike of Alabama.
i wouldnt care where a guy comes from. Bama players for the most part always go to teams i dont like at all. like the Patrtiots & Raiders. the Broncos got Surtain as well. at least Waddle & Smith went to a couple teams i root for here & there. i think Waddle is gonna be a problem once he gets going. i wouldnt worry about the injury too much. he came back from that pretty quickly to be able to play in the championship game. even Smith doesnt shy away from saying he wouldnt have won the Heisman if Waddle was also playing. even though he had a couple monster games before Waddle went down in October.

Day three of the draft is so underrated. You just sit on the coach all afternoon and listen to really smart football guys talk ball. I could listen for days.

Really pleased with our draft. Plugged some holes and gained depth at positions where we will likely need help in a year or two.

Bad yr for billy b.
Brady goes to TB & wins to give him 7 over billys 6 as a head coach.
Now bob baffert wins his 7th derby as a trainer to pass billy b.

Ruff.

Yeah he'll just cry into his 6 Lombardi trophies. I feel so sorry for the guy.

A lot of talk about how well the Dolphins did in the draft, people other than Dolphins fans that is. Can’t remember the last time I heard that before Grier became GM. Parcells? Jimmy Johnson? It’s been a long time.

Grier and Flores might be the ones to finally bring my Dolphins back.

I hope Ross eventually changes the logo back to something closer to the original.

Decent draft overall. Defense was clearly a priority, as it should be. Just hope everyone (especially Smith) can stay healthy. That always seems to be our biggest issue.

I don't think RBs are as important as they used to be. They could always pick someone else up.

Where do we think Le'Veon Bell and Todd Gurley will end up?

Do you think the Titans would have had the success they've had recently without Derrick Henry?

Well I've had this discussion since 2018 with all the Cowboys fans that agreed with paying Ezekiel Elliott. How many rushing champions since 1993 have won the Super Bowl? Exactly.

It's a good thing Derrick Henry is a massive beast of a RB because he's been carrying that franchise on his back for awhile now and probably will for the foreseeable future.

Tannehill never would have gotten paid if it weren’t for him.

The Titans lost in the first round of the playoffs. Replace D Henry with a serviceable RB and spend his salary on more impactful skill positions and they might have made it to the next round.

I love seeing RBs like Marshawn Lynch and such break tackles and take over games. I love seeing it more than huge pass plays. But that is not how franchises dominate in this league now. They win long term with the passing game. I don’t see teams built around RBs getting rings. Those picks and that salary will generate more wins long term if spent on other positions. Running the ball depends on more than just RBs.

I would switch 4 and 7 but otherwise it's a decent list.

Even Zeke, considered by many to be a top 10 RB, is very dependent on QB play and his best seasons came when the Wall of Dallas was healthy. Last season he lost Dak and we had no o-line so he had a terrible season. Exactly why I was against giving him a big contract.

I add the caveat that the Titans are heavily dependent on Henry carrying them to wins so when a player means that much to the success of their franchise, it supercedes that list above to some degree.

Their entire offense was built around Henry’s skillset when Smith was their OC. It’s uncommon in today’s NFL, but they used the run to set up the pass and relied on Henry wearing down a defense as the game went on. With defenses getting smaller to defend the spread style offenses, you’re probably going to see some teams use the Titans approach more. Ground and pound is a good strategy against a smaller defensive front.
