The Browns would take a massive cap hit if he was cut in 2024 or 2025. The earliest to cut without repercussions would be in 2026, otherwise they'd end up like the Broncos this year.

Watson's contract had workarounds/carveouts for his behavior and the suspension when he signed in 2022. No morals clause with this contract without the cap hit - they would have cut him already.

No idea how the Browns don't bench Deshaun Watson. The guy is literally quitting on them and I'm starting to think he's trying to get Cleveland to cut him. For all the grief Russell Wilson caused Denver, he was never THIS awful/toxic.
