No he was way overpaid. The Bills could have signed him to a deal worth about half what he got and it would've been ok.

Well he is having a career year and starting to look like a franchise QB so no they didn't overpay him. Look at what Kolb 6 yr/ 65 mill and Sanchez 5 yr/ 60 mill are making and do they look anything like franchise QB's

and unlike those other guys, Ryan Fitzpatrick has been getting better every year

No, I agree. They should have waited to see what happens the rest of the season. The Bills must think that he is gonna tear it up the rest of the season. I'm not so sure that I agree with that.

I bet if they made a "most overpaid players" list right now he'd be at the top of it. I'd at least make the kid prove he can win in December before giving him a mid-level contract like that.

If he keeps playing at the level he has been playing, it's a no brainer that it was a very smart investment for the Bills. The organization seems to believe in him, and the fans adore him. You have to take risks in this business to succeed, I just hope it pays off.

Mark Sanchez has somehow taken his team to back to back AFC Championship games, Manning wasn't worth it, even if you figure the Colts owed him for 10 years of excellence. Bradford is not the only reason the Rams are 0-6, still think he's all wrong for McDaniels' system.

He's on his rookie contract when he was the #5 pick in the draft. It's not like they gave him the contract like Arizona did with Kolb after seeing essentially nothing. With the way the salaries for rookies back then, they had to give him that contract.

I would like to add some names to the overpaid list, here we go in no particular order.

Albert Haynesworth
Mark Sanchez
Brandon Marshall
Donovan McNabb
Carson Palmer
Paul Soliai
Matt Cassell
Alex Smith
Reggie Bush (mostly due to him not being used properly causing poor production)
Brandon Jacobs (hurts my heart to say that but he should have over 1,000 yds. a year and be destroying defenders, looks like he lost a step.)

Cowboys got a lot of faith in Murray

Quote:
Cowboys waived RB Tashard Choice.
A surprising decision on the surface, but Choice's recent health woes were making it increasingly difficult to overlook his lack of production. His dismal Week 7 performance as fourth-stringer Phillip Tanner went for 34 yards on only six carries was likely the final straw. Over his past 22 games, Choice has averaged just 3.4 yards on 94 carries while contributing nothing in the passing game. Depending on how DeMarco Murray performs against the Eagles, Dallas could be looking at a backfield that uses Murray as the feature runner, Felix Jones as the third-down back and Tanner as a short-yardage specialist once Jones is over his shoulder issues.

I agree with all except for Brandon Marshall. Marshall is a really good receiver, but what do you expect from him with Chad Henne and Matt Moore throwing to him? You could probably put Calvin Johnson on the Dolphins and even Megatron wouldn't have many receptions/TD's.

If the Dolphins do manage the #1 overall pick Brandon Marshall would probably put up Steve Smith numbers overnight with Luck throwing to him.

Henne was actually turning the corner a bit this year until he got hurt, with the Dolphins' luck this will be a setback he cannot recover from. Bye bye Tashard, good luck playing somewhere else.

I hope the Dolphins beat the Giants. I know that the Dolphins have not won any games, but upsets happen a lot in the NFL.

Default Cowboys Rob Ryan dares Philadelphia's DeSean Jackson to tackle him

Cowboys Rob Ryan dares Philadelphia's DeSean Jackson to tackle him

By David Moore / Reporter
dmoore@dallasnews.com

Receiver DeSean Jackson once tweeted that Philadelphia would sting the Cowboys...

We'll leave the body part to your imagination.

Jackson clearly doesn't have a problem talking trash. But he does have a problem when those words come from a defensive coordinator.

Jackson has taken issue with Rob Ryan's comments about the Eagles that go back to training camp. He said it's hard to respect when a coach takes a shot at a team. Jackson said he would be more understanding if it was a player because then he could take a shot at him in the game.

"I know that Jackson said it's not right for me to comment,'' Ryan said. "And he's right about that. I don't play on Sunday. I know he wishes I did. I mean, hell, he doesn't have to worry about tackling me.

"He can tackle me. That'd be great, because I'm going to land on his shoulder and put him out. So that'll be awesome. Hell, he can tackle me two or three times.''

And what about assistant coaches spewing bulletin board material?

"I know guys say, 'Well, as a coach, you don't play, so you ought to just shut up,''' Ryan said. "Well, first of all, that's where you're wrong. When you're an assistant coach, you should shut up all the time.

"Second of all, when you work 19 hours a day like our staff does here on defense for four days a week, then you ought to have an opinion. I'm going to say my opinion. I'm not scared of what I believe in, and what I believe in is our defense.

"I can't wait to get after these guys. It's going to be great. Hell, let's go get it on.''
