I believe Irsay has stated they will select a QB if they have the top pick...so i would yes they have every intention in keeping the pick. As for Manning...thats a tough one to say. Keep him and lose out on the potential free agents or cut him and save an exuberate amount on the salary cap and draft a potential replacement who could possibly be the next great QB.

I have to give Romo a lot of credit though. He' toughed it out (he made a heck of a play earlier even though it's called back).

Personally, I would like to see us get RGIII, and obviously fix the right side of the O-line, and get an impact WR, and also a decent Linebacker.

I'm pretty worried actually, because Luck and RGIII are both "attainable" to us now, and I'm worried we won't make the moves necessary, and someone will trade up with St. Louis or Minnesota, and we'll stand-still, and find ourselves picking #4 with both Luck and RGIII off the board.

I wouldn't mind getting Kallil, but let's be honest here..... the Browns need a QB and there is a severe drop-off in talent from Luck and RGIII, to the rest of the incoming class.
Clevelend has 2 1st round picks in this years draft...guessing here but that could help them jump 2 spots to the #2 slot. Colts won't trade there #1...but since RGIII is believed to be jumping to the NFL thats where they should go. Redskins are the most desperate team here and would probably trade everything to get one of those 2 QB's.

Projected top picks: (* = Needs QB)
1. Indianapolis Colts, 2-14 * (maybe)
2. St. Louis Rams, 2-14
3. Minnesota Vikings, 3-13 * (maybe)
4. Cleveland Browns, 4-12 *
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4-12
6. Washington Redskins, 5-11 *
7. Jacksonville Jaguars, 5-11 *
8. Carolina Panthers, 6-10
9. Miami Dolphins, 6-10 *
10. Buffalo Bills, 6-10
11. Seattle Seahawks, 7-9*
12. Kansas City Chiefs, 7-9
13. Philadelphia Eagles, 8-8
14. New York Jets, 8-8 *
15. Arizona Cardinals, 8-8
16. San Diego Chargers, 8-8
17. Cincinnati Bengals (from Oakland Raiders, 8-8)
18. Chicago Bears, 8-8
19. Dallas Cowboys, 8-8 *
20. Tennessee Titans, 9-7 * (maybe)

I know a lot of people will say Jets and Cowboys don't need a new QB but THEY DO. Time and time again Sanchez and Romo have shown they cannot win the important games.

A lot of teams in the top 20 could benefit from getting a new dynamite QB. But Teams outside the top 5 really need to either trade up or go a different route. QB's that were "stretches" in the last draft (Minnesota, Jacksonville) haven't really done all that well.

As much as I think Romo is overrated I don't think Dallas has to look for another QB. They have other needs.

I don't see much need in Minnesota going for a QB either. Morris Claiborne (CB-LSU) seems to be the consensus #3 pick right now. I imagine Minnesota would take him with that pick unless they trade down, which is definitely possible.

Unless someone in dire need of a QB trades up my guess is Griffin goes #4 to Cleveland or #6 to Washington. I'll bet Landry Jones goes higher than previously expected as well thanks to Barkley passing on the draft.

Wonder if the voters may end up splitting up the OPOY and MVP awards. I don't think there's any doubt Rodgers gets MVP. But maybe they give Brees Offensive POY. Splitting those awards actually happens quite frequently in the NFL.

Not a lot of impressive rushing numbers this season. Jones-Drew's NFL leading rushing yards number is the lowest of any rushing champion in 21 years.

Wow, you really are blind. Let me guess, both losses to the G-men were 100% Romo's fault right?

I'm going to repeat this since you like to ignore it: There is _no_ QB in the league who would consistently win games with this Cowboys team. Not Brady. Not Brees. Not Rodgers. Not Big Ben. Not Eli. Not even the mighty Tebow could win with these Cowboys.

The Cowboys problems have not been Romo for 3+ years...and anyone who thinks it is literally has no knowledge of the NFL. And yes, that includes all the sportscasters who continue to think the way you do.

On some level I wish the Cowboys WOULD trade Romo to some other terrible team. Just to watch "experts" like you try to explain why the Cowboys drop to 3-13 and Romo's new team wins 4 or 5 games more than they did without him.

*EDIT* Actually, I'd like to see Romo and Sanchez traded for each other. Romo could take that Jets team to the Superbowl, and with Sanchez the Cowboys would be lucky to win a game. :P

They have to give Brees the offensive player of the year award. Not maybe. He put up the most offense period.

Brees set the alltime mark in total passing yards (5476), yards per game (342.25), completion percentage (71.2), total 300 yard games (13), consecutive 300 yard games (7) and total completions (468). His team generated the most yards ever in a single season at 7474 yards beating the old record of 7075 by the Rams in 2000. His team also had the most first downs ever in a season with 416.

So i dont know how your scenario can happen.

My vote goes to Rodgers obviously but it's not a *duh* decision. Sure ARodg set the record for passer rating in a season and has that ridiculous TD:Int ratio, but Brees re-set his own completion percentage record and then obliterated the yardage record. Voters will have to decide between efficiency not seen before in Rodgers or gaudy balls-out numbers in Brees. If they factor in wins, then forget it though.

All that said, I love my Packers, but I really don't want to play the Saints. They are scary good. And as far as I'm concerned, that NFC championship game is the Super Bowl.

It's called being a real fan. I don't understand why some people only root for their teams when they win. Bandwagon fans are not real fans.

Your team had a shot at winning its division and you were rooting against them just because you don't want to face the Packers and the Niners next year? That's the craziest thing I've read in a while.

Its something more people should do.

Maybe we wouldnt be in the credit mess that we are in now just like when people whine about how much they owe in interest on their credit cards....sure see alot of those comments here.

Whats winning a division ?? the broncos won & they are going nowhere.

You should go to bd.com support and change your username. You're clearly not a real Cowboys fan at all.

We've also seen teams in many sports leagues make playoff runs after backing into the playoffs. Ever hear of the 2007 Giants?

Falcons o-line vs. Giants d-line
Falcons secondary vs. Giants passing attack

...As a Falcons fan, I would've rather traveled to Arlington to play the Cowboys... I'm afraid Matt Ryan is gonna stretch his career playoff record to 0-3.

Planning ahead? You talk like you have any control on the results of your team...

The only thing I can do for my teams is supporting them no matter what.

that giants team almost beat a 16-0 team in week 17....the cowboys arent playing great at the end of the season at all - total opposite.

that giants team had a great from defensive front 4 (strahan, tuck, osi etc) the cowboys dont.

the cowboys are a "dome team" not built for cold weather....the giants are.

i could add more reasons but if u dont get the point by now u never will.

& since in the end i was right evidently i know the team better than you.

Blah blah blah. If my team can still make the playoffs despite glaring holes, I want them to make the playoffs.

Last night reminded me a LOT of that Minnesota play-off game in 2009, except this time Romo played better behind a sieve of a line, even with an injured throwing hand. The game was closer than the score yes but the Giants dominated on both sides of the line and made all the big plays when they had to. Still cannot believe they went for it on 4th and 1 and a quarterback draw was all they could come up with. I really hope Rob doesn't get fired for this travesty, it is NOT his fault our defense is so inconsistent, we need to overhaul that entire unit. Romo has top 10 talent really but a horrible offensive line and had to get it done last night with no help from his running game. Bad combination for any quarterback.
