Nah man. The Atlanta Braves do this every year, and it's awful.
(Lately, the Hawks and the Falcons, too. )

Yup, Cowboys need to take a CB or NT or OG, depending on which is the best possible player of the 3 at that spot. Buccaneers fired Morris and his staff, not surprising at all after that 10 game slide to finish the season.

So i dont know how your scenario can happen.
ah, that sucks for them. i would still cut him, but of course that's more dangerous because then he can go anywhere. hell, if they do cut him, i might want my Texans picking him up for a year or two

Manning to Johnson would be awesome, especially with Foster who could carry the load so Manning won't have to pass 55 times a game. and with that defense (if everyone will be healthy next year ) they could be great. and Schaub is already 30, don't know how much longer he'll be around and hope he isn't gonna be injury prone

--------------

speaking of my Texans, i feel bad for them. especially Schaub.

they FINALLY win the division and get to the playoffs and they essentially limp in like a wounded animal. yeah, it'll be fun to watch their first playoff game and have it at home, but it sucks since Mario is out, Johnson still isn't himself and Schaub is out and they're banged up all over and fell ass backwards into the playoffs. shucks

and i feel real bad for Schaub since he's been with that team for a few years now, gets them going and then gets hurt and has to miss all the fun with finally getting the team to the playoffs. that sucks!

I know they do it every year. Been a fan since the early 90's. Still wanted them to make the playoffs this year. The GM should still be smart enough to know his team has problems.

The Cowboys won't have a high draft pick anyway so what good is it to tank the game?

The colts with either a questionable manning or a rookie luck so gotta figure the texans getting all the guys back should be the favorite to win the division next year too so at least some consolation there.

Mike and Mike said it best about the Cowboys and Romo this morning.

How many teams in the history of the NFL have had people calling for them to dump their 2nd best player in order to suddenly be a winner?

FWIW they called Ware the Cowboys #1 player, Romo #2, which is hard to argue with, unless you think Dez is #2 and Romo #3...but even so.

Honestly? Ware is a very good player but not quite great. He disappears too often and has a lot of stupid penalties as well. Dez is obscenely talented but is simply not consistent for whatever reason. Robinson may be the only consistent receiver we have and the bad part there is he's either going to leave or get grossly overpaid to stay. Austin is nowhere near as good as people think, talented sure but not a top receiver. Witten would probably be putting up much better numbers if we had a better offensive line so he wouldn't have to block so much.

Yeah Romo is always getting unfairly blamed.

66.3% 4184 yards 31 TD's 10 INT 102.6 QB Rating. Four 4th quarter comebacks (4 game winning drives) for those who rate that so highly.

Teams in need of a QB would be lining up for his services.

Well, I was going to say you could consider Romo #1, Ware #2 as well, but considering people seem to consider him one of the worst QBs in the league I figured I wouldn't go there.

Should be 5 game winning drives too if not for Garrett icing his own kicker.

I still can't get over that.

Dont have to play packers & 49ers in 2012.

Romos prob is he screws up too much.

missing austin on an easy pass for a 1st down that would have sealed the giants game few weeks ago.

not audibling out of the 4th down sneak last nite -- its always something etc etc etc.

They went from Pack and 49ers to Chicago and Seattle. That's...quite a difference, although Chicago should still be tough if Cutler is back.

Seattle's actually pretty tough too, I'd say they're a good QB away from being a legitimate play-off team, not sure if letting Hasselbeck go was the best decision.

That's what I'm talking about right there. The team had a 2 TD lead at the time. It's like blaming Bartman for the rest of the Cubs inning.

I love how other QBs get passes when they screw up but the Cowboys generally don't win if Romo is less than perfect and he almost always gets blamed if they lose. Price of being the Cowboys quarterback I guess.

You mean the one that Austin could have caught if he dived, or for that matter just turned on the jets a little? The throw that Austin himself said he lost in the lights, and it wasn't Romo's fault?

Bartman aint the qb of americas team or getting $15milllion or married to a beauty contest winner.

Romos not there to make plays in the 1st qtr - he is there to make plays in big games & at key points.

Yea lost it in the light i beleive that.

That reminds me -- Nobody hit the roof in the cowboys stadium this year -- again.

Great stat....

every super bowl has featured at least 1 team that was a #1 or #2 seed.

So that means that packers, 49ers, pats, ravens at least 1 of them will be in the super bowl....if it holds again by history.
