All I can say is MAKE THE TRADE!

Quote:
With running back Maurice Jones-Drew saying he's open to a trade if he can't get a new contract done with the Jacksonville Jaguars, ESPN pro football analyst Adam Schefter said Friday that there's a team and a trade offer that might work.

That team is the Lions and the offer is this: a second-round pick and any running back off the Lions' roster.

Said Schefter: "I don't see the team (Lions) making a move for Maurice Jones-Drew, though can you imagine if they did? Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and Jones-Drew. That's a trio that could wind up rivaling the triplets that Dallas once had."

"I'd offer up a second-round pick and any running back they want off the Lions' roster. If nothing else, Jacksonville would at least have to think about a deal for Mikel Leshoure and a second-round pick. It might not be enough to get it done, but it would at least give the Jaguars something to think about."

I don't understand what they were thinking when they scheduled the Eagles at Browns for the third preseason game. The third preseason game is supposed to be a dress rehearsal for a real game, with many starters playing much of the game, but the Eagles play at the Browns week one so neither team is going to do anything that could tip off what they're going to do in the regular season game. They should have had the Eagles and Browns play in the second or fourth preseason game when the starters don't play as much.

MJD to the Lions or any team with a good QB? Who's going to pay him a multi-million contract and MJD expects to get 25 or so carries. Then again he can get paid and get less carries and used as a 3rd and short back on a winning team.

Why! They won what 4 games with Mjd last year not like they were 8-8 and on the cusp of playoffs. I'm not saying I wouldn't pay him if I was that rich but I can see given the franchises state why it wouldn't make sense

And aren't the Lions already at or over the cap? Not sure how those finances would work.

You want to play that game? Ok then...

Your best RB is Elijah Price...

You gave up a 1st and a 2nd rounder for Palmer, he must be good. Oh wait...

A cat stepped on Jacoby Ford's foot and now he's gone for a while, WOW!

Your defense keeps giving free 1st downs, really mature...

Mayhaps. I mentionned in this very thread that I would hope Miami signed him because Peter King convinced me he was "the guy" for the Dolphins. The thing is he was not and everybody thought he turned down the Dolphins, however it was the other way around, Philbin thought he was not better than Moore. But hating on the Dolphins was trending so everyone thought we whiffed on him.

I don't know why the Patriots would do that. They are a legit Super Bowl contender and it doesn't make sense to get rid of their leading receiver.

Source? I would be stunned to see the Pats move Brady's loyal receiver.
