Actually according to position Kiko is the 10th best ILB and Sheldon is the 5th best 3-4 DE.. Just saying.

I call BS on that. Kiko way better than #10, anyone who has watched him play can see that. He's a MONSTER that was born to lead men on the football field.

It's a silly list. Many great players take a year or two to develop.

What I saw was a player who came out of the gate fast and played really well. He then regressed as the season wore on. I saw Richardson getting stronger and stronger as the season progressed. Also he was rated the #2 3-4 DE in terms of run defense. LB's naturally compile larger stats due to the nature of the position. I'm talking about tackles and that's what pops out when looking at the stat sheet. I think he's a very good player, but not this monster you are trying to make him.

For exactly the reason I stated. It's the same as grading the draft right afterwards. Look at the list of past Rookie of the year winners and you'll see many names that had a good rookie year and not much else, while other player in the draft didn't do jack their rookie years but when on to have great careers.

Yes, but I don't think anyone is arguing about the extrapolation of one season into the type of career that person will have. We were discussing this year and DROY.

Regressed? I honestly don't see how anyone can come to that conclusion. As the season went on, he got more and more of a handle of the schemes of our defense. He was talented and raw in the beginning of the year, but as the season went on you really saw what kind of leader he is going to be for us. He was getting his fellow defenders into the proper position, and communicating to all on the field. Unfortunately Pettine stopped dropping him into coverage as often as the season went on because our run defense was so bad, but hopefully it improves next season with our new coordinator. He has really impressive instincts on both the run and pass and had a knack for finding the football. It really says something when Marrone called him the hardest working guy on the defense as a rookie. First guy in and last guy out. He is one special football player. As long as his legal troubles are completely behind him, he has all the tools to be the face of our defense for the next decade.

The Bills have hired Jim Schwartz as our new defensive coordinator. I'm not so bummed anymore about losing Pettine, I would say this is at worst an even trade. Schwartz is a very bright defensive mind that will love the talent he has to work with in Orchard Park.

I made no mention of your discussion, I was talking about the silly list. Although seeing what I quoted I can understand why you thought I was.

Both of those players had great rookie years, but would I want either of them over Dion Jordan? I don't think so. I think Jordan's ceiling is pretty high, and they took him extremely slow.

Bust? Talk about lmao, there were numerous reasons for his limited playing time this year. He missed all of minicamps due to Oregon being on the quarter system and not being graduated. Rehabbing his shoulder injury, and most importantly Oliver Vernon was playing well and getting double digit sacks. But he definitely flashed at times and showed glimpses of his freakish athleticism and versatility. I think you saying "He has bust written all over him" is why this list is so silly, it's all what have you done for me lately rather then taking a step back and looking at the big picture.

FWIW If I had to decide between Richardson & Kiko Alonso? Richardson every day, and twice on Sunday. You being a jest fan I can understand how you'd take him over Jordan.
