Titans agreed to terms with OLB Shaun Phillips, formerly of the Broncos, on a two-year, $6 million contract.

The deal includes $2.5 million guaranteed. Phillips turns 33 in May, but it's a potential bargain for the Titans, who will slide Phillips in at outside linebacker in DC Ray Horton's hybrid 3-4 defense. Phillips was far-from elite on a per-snap basis last season, but still managed 10 sacks after notching 9.5 in 2012. He'll be a productive presence on the edge in Tennessee.

Good bargain here, if only Titans had a QB they'd be looking pretty good.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells Profootballtalk that free agent Kenny Britt is "still evaluating his options."

GM Les Snead hinted Tuesday that the Rams were close to an agreement with the ex-Titan, but nothing's developed over the past 48 hours. The Redskins are reportedly still in the mix, as well. Britt is clearly holding out hope for a better deal, but he shouldn't hold his breath. Thanks to his injury history, off-the-field issues and poor 2013, Britt is likely limited to take-it-or-leave-it offers.

He'll end up with a low paying 1 year job probably. He should choose his next QB wisely as it might end his career.

Raiders sign Maurice Jones Drew. He'll begin the season as the 2nd string RB and will quietly become a starter sometime in August once McFadden goes down for the year.

Oakland also cut $10 million off of Matt Schaub's existing deal and also deleted the final year of his Houston contract on top of that. He'll be a free agent after the 2015 season.

I see MJD as a 3rd down back and closer, that's if he's not announced the starter by Week 1. I think they put McFadden in the backfield and line up MJD as the slot WR. That will be dangerous on defenses as both are huge playmakers when they get the ball, but who's their QB again?

Well Mcfadden will be hurt for 5+ games...so MJD will have to take over when that happens.

I agree. It really did came down to money although he did admit that it was about the money right after the season. Teams that were playoff bound didn't offer enough to pay a soon the to be 30 year old back so he opted to sign with Oakland where he grew up and still lives during the offseason. I was hoping he would sign for a team that would be playoff bound I guess it will work out for him since his family can finally see him play in Oakland where he'll have a better chance to finish the game without getting injured.

His last 2 games he played in Oakland (2012 & 2013) he left the game injured which was the spiral of his downfall regarding his load and production.

I know a few people here were not happy about MJD's situation with the team since last year. They were actually upset towards him, but they didn't look at it that from a business standpoint. He wasn't offered an extension with his contract after the 2011 season so he heldout during the offseason and the team decided to ride out his current contract and move in another direction with a new owner, and new GM, and yet another new HC.

I would of been damned if he signed with Miami though!

Bleacher Report's Dan Pompei reports the Texans are "trying hard" to trade the No. 1 overall pick in May's draft and "might have a trade partner" in the Bills.

Not the most reliable source but it would make sense since neither QB is doing enough for the #1 overall

Word from the NFL meetings is the Texans are trying hard to deal the first pick in the draft. They want to move down and acquire extra selections. Sources say they might have a trade partner in the Bills, who appear interested in moving up. It is unclear who the Bills would want in a trade-up scenario. Some believe they would move up for a quarterback. They also could make good use of an offensive tackle such as Greg Robinson. And it would be something to see them pair Mario Williams with either Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack.

After careful consideration this offseason, Eagles decide to part ways with DeSean Jackson. The team informed him of his release today.

The link says Jackson's gang connections were a big factor in the release. It sounds like the Eagles were worried that another Aaron Hernandez incident could happen with Jackson. I can't imagine it's a coincidence that Jackson was released the day the story in the link went public. It's going to scare a lot of potential suitors.

Had a feeling they would do something with Schaub's contract, no way they would pay him that much...

Not sure why MJD signs with us, I thought he would take less money to play for a contender, guess not

Over/Under 6 combined games McFadden & MJD play together, i'll take the under...
