MaCruz while I agree dropping the subject for sanity sake might be the best thing; it is today's football news and as long as the discussion is respectful as it has been I see no issues with continuing it in a civil manner. However if people start name calling and insulting then yes i would agree that we need to put the shackles back on people as it would at that time be obvious that they cannot handle a mature discussion.

I understand, that's one of the current headlines going on right now with the league. The subject is very borderline and you and the verteran members who been here long enough know that 99% of the time. The thread gets cleaned or removed. I'm pretty laid back and I tend to let a lot of things go. I just don' want it to get carried away.

I agree, as this subject can turn "political" quite quickly. It is a pretty slippery slope, and I can see where both sides are coming from.
We just need preseason to start, at least, so we can leave the politics in Washington.

Cruz im far from dogging what you guys do here, you guys as staff are doing a hellva job with this many people on these forums keeping the peace. My biggest fear in this subject is offending those whom the topic actually pertains to. In all honesty it does look as if the topic is dying down so if you could moderate something can you moderate the Pirates thread in the movies section you know who is back at it again =0)

You are absolutely correct. It will be one of the many topics under discussion all over for years to come. However, it's going to be very touchy for some members here on this website. But what are we going to do? Let things go and have everyone bash and make insults towards each other when it does hit the fan?

No one is going to get in trouble or shut a thread down. We have very good members here that contribute daily which includes you Chad. Once things get out of hand people will lose interest and become defensive posters. When that happens, that's when we lose good members who post here which leads to threads becoming boring and dull. Like I said, I'm pretty laid back but I felt it was right to post for the need to just move on.
