New Atlanta Stadium. Way the roof opens is sweet.

I got mixed feelings about this. Being a Niners fan I'm happy but I think he got off easy.
He doesn't actually have to serve the time in jail, he can serve the time on work release every Monday starting July 28, although I'm sure they'll let him reschedule when the 49ers are on the road for Monday night football. It isn't uncommon with the overcrowding in California jails for non-violent offenders with short sentences to get work release rather than actual jail time.

Smith is virtually guaranteed to be suspended to start the season, the only question is for how long. Smith's dad said they're hoping for a 4-game suspension, and most of what I've read suggests the suspension will be around 4-6 games.

The very fact that this guys Dad said "they are hoping for a 4-game suspension", is quite telling.
I'm pretty sure if Joe Average displayed the total lack of good decision making that Smith did, he'd not only be facing stricter punishment, but also looking for a new job. And here I thought the NFL held itself to a higher standard.

It's real simple: If you get convicted, you are banned for life from the NFL.
Oh there will be some turnover, initially, but the troops will fall in line soon enough....and if they don't, well that would be their own dumb fault.

If you can't make good decisions, while having the benefit of millions of dollars at your disposal, methinks you really don't deserve the millions of dollars.

With training camp beginning this week and pre season only 2 weeks away, I think it's time for some predictions here. How you guys think your teams will fair in this upcoming season ? who's going to have a breakthrough season ? which team is going to be the biggest disappointment and which team you think will take it all at the end.

I still think it's early for predictions.

Still seems like Seahawks/Niners and Broncos/Pats are the obvious picks, but I also really like the Saints and Eagles in the NFC.

As for the Titans... NFL Network is covering 30 teams training camps. The Titans (and Chiefs) are not one of them. Typical hatred. Also PFT has us ranked #30 and a guy on Rotoworld says #32. I love it. **** the haters. We are easily #2 in this scrub division again. We finally have a respectable coaching staff, and I expect improvements on both sides of the ball. It is all on Locker at this point though. If he stays healthy and plays the way he did last year before getting hurt (6 TDs, no turnovers, 3-1 record), we're gonna be good, and these haters will have to eat crow and suck a dick.

Week 2 I will have a better idea about our team. If we lose to Dallas, I will have no hope whatsoever.

They have, by far, the worst defense in the league. It didn't get better one damn bit. It got worse... If that's even possible. This is the year the wheels fall off in Dallas. They will go 3-13, Garrett will be fired by week 9, and they will draft the crab thief rapist or another QB #1 overall.

The skins will win in their week #10 bye? I think they will need it.

Happens all the time. ESPN had us 32/32 as one poster said. Then we went 8-8.

If our offense can just gain a little bit of credibility with the new additions then teams need to be careful of us because our D will still be quite good.

Bad news again for the Jags as WR Ace Sanders will most likely be suspended 4 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Other than Cecil Shorts, Ace has been a solid WR for our team. Now it's all up the 2nd Round pick Marqise Lee to step up make some plays and contribute.

My early playoff predictions, which could change based on injuries:

AFC East: Patriots
AFC West: Broncos
AFC North: Ravens
AFC South: Colts
Wild Cards: Chargers, Steelers

NFC East: Eagles
NFC West: 49ers
NFC North: Packers
NFC South: Saints
Wild Cards: Seahawks, Lions

I, pretty much agree with this...barring injury/suspension, of course.
The only thing I would change would be the AFC North. I think the Bengals will win the division, and the Ravens will get the wild card. The Steelers missing the playoffs would probably spell the end of the Tomlin/Big Ben era.

Bengals win AFC North
Bears get the Lions's Wild Card slot (as a Bears hater, that was difficult to type, but that team is good)

I must like the Cowboys more than the rest of you guys. They're not better than the Eagles so they won't win the division. The NFC West & North are too good, so they won't make Wild Card, but I don't think they go 3-13 either. Sure, the defense is pretty bad, but the offense is quite good. There will be a lot of shootouts, and I think luck will decide if they go 7-9 or 9-7.

I like this but I would swap the 49ers & Seahawks...

Oh and my prediction for the season, Raiders will finish in last
