Ball hadn't been thrown yet. It would be illegal contact, except apparently that only exists if the QB is in the pocket.

He's a good QB with good tools around him. I put him in the same group of QBs as Roethlisberger and Terry Bradshaw (though he's better than both). They had good running games, good defenses and a QB that can manage a game and make plays when they're needed.

It's the same as Matt Ryan (minus him having a defense). Take away his weapons, and he's just a solid QB. But he has the weapons that allow him to move the ball down the field when he needs to.

I'd argue Ryan is equally good if not better. The one exception he's only now gotten a solid WR core, still has a so-so Oline, same with the defense. The Falcons were staring into the abyss before he came in (either 4-12 or 5-11), and in 1 year he changed that around.

I mean you see now that Cowher's system and talent has dried up around Big Ben he isn't near the player he was 3 years ago.

The NFL is investigating the San Diego Chargers for the alleged use of "Stickum," a sticky substance that gives teams a competitive advantage when it comes to catching footballs.
