lol pretty sure you don't see people freaking out becaues of roids like they do on Barry Bonds... But least we've gotten to not putting words in my mouth .

You should be posting videos of the 19-1 Pats because of Brady and Moss, if Vicks 6 touchdowns are so insane. Or the 2000 Ravens, or for me the 1992 Redskins lol nobody cares all football fans care about is the next super bowl (by and large).

Now i'm confused. I'm not a baseball fan for multiple reasons, I don't understand what you're trying to say with the steroids comment. Are you saying that the NFL doesn't care about steroids? You said that nobody care about stats. When you say "nobody", who exactly are you referring to? The Hall of Fame certainly cares about stats if that is what you are referring to. Fans care.

Vick scored 5 tds in the first half of that game. The Hall of Fame thought it was pretty significant when they requested the jersey he wore in that game. I really don't care whether you thought it was impressive or not. It's a matter of opinion, though I would say most people are impressed by that, including the HOF.

What I'm saying is Roids in baseball wrecks careers, people that would have been gods forever (Arod, Clemons, Bonds, exc.) are now nothings. Where in the NFL nobody cares that some of the Steelers from those early super bowl teams used it and admitted it, they are still the Steel Curtain and will be idolized forever.

lol and in 5-10 years are you really going out of your way to go to Canton to see a Vick touchdown jersey against a 6-10 redskins team from 2010/11? I hope not. Because I'd rather see the car Randy Moss bumped the police officer with. Now if that was the pass Tom Brady made to Randy Moss in the Super Bowl the year they won 20-0 and topped the Dolphins from 76' ok. Even the David Tyree catch is a bigger deal than that Vick pass (lol and he's out of the league.. I'll never miss a chance to take a shot at that scrub). Just like DC's 2004 season is glossed over in the big picture the same will be said of that Vick footage.

*and I have no idea why I keep bringing up Randy Moss

You're right, not everyone cares about steroids, but there are some people who care about steroids in the NFL, just like there are some people who don't care about it in baseball. I don't see what that has to do with "nobody" caring about NFL stats.

Nobody said they were going out of their way to Canton to see the Vick jersey. Again, I don't really care if you were impressed or not. Most people were. I don't know why you are referring to it as just a "pass". He did wear that jersey for the whole game. The game(or half) was impressive, not a single pass.

Uh yeah. You shouldn't make blanket statements saying nobody feels a certain way about something, because it wouldn't be true.

Not everyone feels that way. Lots of people like me to make blanket statements. Don't make blanket statements about me making blanket statements.

I win

Isn't much fun when you take that approach.

You "win". You know what I mean and just don't want to admit you're wrong. This is just childish. I'm not responding to you anymore.

From what I read, Jets may have offered him less than Ravens and Jets will probably put him in at 3rd receiver where Ravens would have probably put him at #2. He must believe he has a better shot at a ring in NY. I'm disappointed we lost out on Malcolm Floyd and now Mason. Maybe we get Cotchery, though I just read he has a visit with the Steelers tomorrow. Ravens need someone to fill the #2 role until Torrey Smith or even Tandon Doss is ready to take over.

I don't blame him for signing with the Jets. They are a very good team and have a good shot at the Super Bowl. I just wonder if he assumed Torrey Smith would take his job midseason and decided he would rather be a #3 from the start rather than be a #2 then lose his job midseason. Perhaps he wanted to avoid being embarrassed. I think he's still a good possession receiver and a smart player. You have to be to play as long as he has.

I'm surprised Steve Smith(Giants) is still a free agent. T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Mark Clayton are still free agents. Both former Ravens. Both have dropped critical passes in games though.

Does anybody know if Deion Sanders is being enshrined with a Cowboys jersey or a Falcons jersey in the Hall of Fame? I'm assuming that the athletes have to pick a team, right?

Lol guess you don't get sarcasm. But my point remains what you said can be said about anything. But again youve been the only one talking about how great old stats are for id guess the last 50 pages(maybe more I don't feel like looking lol).

*edit I forgot. And not everyone feels its childish

I think all sports should crack down on roids. That being said I think it's pretty obvious that they've damaged MLB far more than the NFL. The dynamics of MLB just make them more damaging to that sport than the NFL since MLB is more career numbers driven.

Most of the NFL players in the 70's-mid 80's were doing so much coke I'm not sure roids had that much effect anyway in those days. Ever seen the film Cocaine Cowboys? It's pretty well known the 1978 Steelers partied it up with large amounts of cocaine in South Beach on the eve of their Super Bowl against Dallas. And they still managed to win.

I agree the safe it becomes for players to use the more it will filter down to the younger levels where it can do real damage.

Sucks all we get on Thursday is the Seahawks and Chargers (at least nationally)
