GO BROWNS.
I actually agree. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bengals and Browns ahead of the Ravens and Steelers in that division this year. That just doesn't sound right, but I like what the Browns have done... New owner, new GM, new HC, new OC, new DC.

Weeden will hold them back though. I'd say maybe 8-8 for the Browns this year. Bengals will be the only team in the AFC North to make the playoffs.

The Steelers matched the Patriots offer to restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders and will retain him for the upcoming season. Sanders will be an unrestricted free agent after the season if he doesn't agree to a contract extension with the Steelers.

The Patriots are going to have to use a high pick on a receiver now. Their receiving corp is pretty bad and lacks a deep threat. Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman are both decent but both are injury prone and they have similar skill sets. Outside of Amendola and Edelman they don't have much. Donald Jones isn't terrible but he's injury prone as well and the Bills chose not to tender him a restricted free agent offer even though it would have been very inexpensive. Michael Jenkins is the only other experienced receiver the Pats have but he's well past his prime (if he ever had a prime). There's a good chance the Patriots will bring Deion Branch, Donte' Stallworth, and/or Jabar Gaffney to training camp but none of them are huge threats at this point.

The NFL has confirmed that the schedule will not be released tomorrow (as TV listings had previously shown) and that they haven't set a date for the release. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said “It will not be tomorrow but could be in the next week or two,” Aiello said via email. “We’re working to finalize it.”

You really think more games makes the sport better?

Less games and more intensity/importance to each game is so much better, but I guess that's just my opinion.

Losing one game in the NFL is like a 10 game losing streak in MLB. Games don't mean enough in baseball.

Wins/losses are so sweet/painful in the NFL and that's the beauty of it.

Regular season
Baseball: Lose 5 games in a row... you have little worries.
Football: Lose 5 games in a row... you're ****ed.

Playoffs
Baseball (and other sports): Lose game 1... no biggie.
Football: Lose... you go home.

No more Faith Hill sunday Nights

Country star Faith Hill punts on 'Sunday Night Football' theme song

By Associated Press
Comments

Nashville, Tenn. — Faith Hill is out of the football game.

The country star announced Monday morning on Twitter that she won't be doing the "Sunday Night Football" theme song this year.

She's been featured at the top of the broadcast for six years now.

Hill says in her tweet it's been an honor to appear on the NBC show, but that it's time to "let someone else rock the open. Difficult decision. Kinda emotional."

"Sunday Night Football" executive producer Fred Gaudelli tweeted "great love and appreciation" to Hill for her participation over the years. He made no mention of what the show plans to do with the opening.

I miss it too, but not to the point where I need it, I dont really care for the combine/draft or any of the pre season crap... Have plenty to watch in the meantime, in no partical order... NHL & NBA playoffs which will carry into June, then in July is when I really get into baseball

Levitre is a great football player, and he will be will be missed. I'm sad to see Wilson guy as he is a really good team guy, but he simply was losing snaps to a better and younger player. Have fun with Fitzpatrick when Locker goes down.

Levitre was at the top of my FA wants along with Delanie Walker. I was going nuts when we signed them both right off the bat.

Wilson is a stop-gap SS for us, and we also signed Pollard. We're going to run a lot of 3 safety formations, but when we don't, I assume Pollard and Wilson will split snaps. Babineaux was awful for us last year. Signing Wilson was a good move.

Fitzpatrick isn't all that bad, but I guess you would have a better idea than me... I assure you it was a better move than keeping Hasselbeck, as much as I loved having him around. Fitzpatrick is younger, cheaper, and just as good.

There was no way Steelers were going to let go of Sanders for that little. I've been saying for a while the Pats need a Moss replacement.

Yesterday the offices of Pilot Flying J, the company run by Browns owner Jimmy Haslem, were raided by the IRS and FBI. So far no details are available, but it's certainly something to keep an eye on.
