i hate to come out and say "the Packers are the team to beat this year!!!"
i've never liked doing that. yeah i want them to win obviously, but to boast about them winning it all...i've never liked that.
i was actually scared after opening day last year when almost everyone on CBS (cower, sharpe, boomer), those guys....a lot of them picked the packers to go to the super bowl.
it's like setting expectations that can't be met.....obviously they can....but if u're set that high, the chances of falling are a lot higher too.
but i don't think the eagles are gonna be able to win the super bowl...yeah they have a massive amount of talent, but u still have to play as a team!!!

Plenty has changed for the Cowboys from last year's training camp to this year.
Coach Wade Phillips is gone, and Jason Garrett has taken his place. Marion Barber and Roy Williams are gone from the offense. And that whole lockout thing happened.
But another change that has flown under the radar has been the evolution of receiver Dez Bryant, according to Yahoo! Sports writer Michael Silver.
Speaking of Williams, Silver recounts the rocky start Bryant had in training camp with the former Cowboys wideout.
"A year after the then-rookie riled starter Roy Williams by refusing to participate in a minor training camp hazing ritual, Bryant finds himself in a much different position" he wrote. "The practice of carrying teammates' pads has been abolished under Garrett. Williams is gone, too, waived after 2½ disappointing seasons and now fighting to revive his career as a member of the Chicago Bears. Bryant, meanwhile, believes he has approached his job with a newfound maturity, even as he scoffs at the less-than-professional reception he received from his departed teammate last summer."
Bryant told Silver, "It's kind of childish to do rookie hazing."
Bryant hurt his ankle in December to close out a promising rookie season, but drama continued to follow him as he got in trouble during the offseason for little things from unpaid jewelry bills to wearing saggy pants in a mall.
But Bryant's close advisor David Wells told Silver that he's "a different man" the past few months.
"I've really noticed a maturity," Wells said. "He's trying very hard to become a man, to be accountable, to be punctual, to do things the right way. It's a work in progress, but there has been progress, trust me. And the way he prepared himself physically during the lockout was tremendous."
Jerry Jones acknowledged in the article that Bryant is still a work in progress.
"Certainly, when we drafted him, we knew he had judgment issues – not substance, not competitive or work ethic," Jones said. "He's a good person. He just has got some real evolving to do in the adult world, and he's making progress. And let me just say this: The only guy I know who was behind his progress at this age was Jerry Jones – he had some growing up to do."
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo told Silver that Bryant is a bit misunderstood.
"Dez is like a 12-year-old, in a good way," Romo said. "He's the guy who'll say on the way to a game, 'I can eat 26 gummy bears,' or something like that. It's just so fun to see – the purity. He's like a kid. He's not trying to be malicious."
With a secure starting spot at receiver, Bryant is hoping to make a big splash on the field this season.
"If it all goes as planned in 2011, instead of being asked to carry a teammate's pads, Bryant may be carrying an offense," Silver wrote.
The Dolphins have sold out their last 102 home games, but are struggling to sell out this year's games, so on October 23 against the Broncos the Dolphins are going to honor the Florida Gators 2009 national championship team. Tim Tebow and Mike Pouncey will both be at the game as their respective teams play, and former Florida coach Urban Meyer will be in attendance. This is a very strange promotion, as I've never heard of an NFL team holding a celebration for a college team, especially one that is over 300 miles from their home. The Dolphins offered to honor the 2001 Miami national championship team but Miami declined.
Ummm... what? I'm looking at the ESPN historical attendance records and I don't see Miami having more than 85-90% in attendance capacity for many years, leaving them roughly in the middle of the NFL in attendance each year. Sounds fishy calling those sellouts to me.

Profootballtalk reports the 49ers have agreed to terms with Frank Gore on a three-year, $21 million extension.
The deal includes $13.5 million guaranteed. On top of Gore's $4.9 million salary for 2011, he can earn $25.9 million over four years. Without benefit of the open market, Gore didn't have the leverage that landed DeAngelo Williams $21 million guaranteed. He and his agent still did well to land one last big contract entering Gore's age-28 season. The Niners will get plenty of value out of Gore this year, but a decline in broken tackles and effectiveness as a receiver suggest he already began losing a step last season. The signing is a road-block for Kendall Hunter's Dynasty value the next couple of years.
I think that Gore deal is fair for both sides. It keeps Gore happy but doesn't tie up too much money in him long term. There was a lot of talk that he was going to demand a trade and become a distraction if he didn't get a new deal and the 49ers aren't likely to have much of a passing threat in the near future so keeping Gore happy at an affordable price makes sense.
Cowboys C Phil Costa (knee sprain) is expected to be ready for Week 1.
The Cowboys were comfortable enough with Costa's knee to cut incumbent starter Andre Gurode earlier this week. They are planning on starting rookie Bill Nagy at left guard, rookie Tyron Smith at right tackle and Costa -- who has one career start -- at center.

I am not sure of Dallas line but if ROmo can open up the verticle threat with his arm Jones should be able to run like no tomorrow. For fantasy purposes I hope Jones can achive 5-6 YPC =0)
Appearing on SportsCenter Wednesday, ESPN's John Clayton suggested that Arian Foster's hamstring injury could sideline him for up to a month.
"It does look like it's going to be a 3-4 week injury," said Clayton, referring to the MRI Foster posted on his Twitter account Wednesday. "The pictures don't lie." Clayton predicts Foster won't be ready for Opening Day. Dr. Michael Kaplan of ESPN also believes Foster is dealing with a 3-4 week strain, or even partial tear. Foster has promised that he will play against the Colts. Owners drafting him in the next week need to make sure to pick Ben Tate as well. Derrick Ward would also be in the mix for carries were Foster to miss regular season games.
