Yeah I imagine once that gets confirmed, they will probably go searching for a short-term OT. I'm one of those who also wonders if Derrick Dockery could play RT in the interim.

Excellent point. While he has looked good, I wouldn't call him a stud.

Indy radio host saying manning out for year.

"With the 1st pick in the 2012 nfl draft the indy colts select -- andrew luck, qb, stanford."

Honestly, if Peyton is indeed out for the year, I hope he retires, he had a amazing career and a Superbowl ring, it is not worth the risk of spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair or a lifetime of severe neck pain

I have a feeling the initial reports of Manning needing a second surgery to Fix his neck are true. His play really did start to degenerate last year about game 10 or so which is when i think he initially got hurt and he decided to play through it.

If he does retire hopefully the Colts can recover some the money they paid him this off-season as that is one rich ass contract for a QB that cant play and may not return until next year. If the Colts are smart they grab Garrard now since he has been in camp all off-season, but who knows maybe this is all for naught and he really will only be out 4-5 weeks.

On the positive side NFL SEASON STARTS TOMORROW! Saints vs Pack who do you guys got game 1, personally I think the pack win this one.

Yeah Rodgers is simply the better QB and the Packers have the better defense, I think the Pack take it close or in a blow-out.

I'll bet Indy wins something like 5-8 games if Manning missed the entire season. They'll be bad, but not terrible. They were lucky to get Kerry Collins to come back. He's at least a credible QB. If they were stuck with Curtis Painer then ya, they could conceivably be top-3 pick terrible.

Exactly what I was thinking. Garrard should be strongly considered if Indy has the money to sign him. Kerry Collins was still a fairly decent QB last year and I think he'll be decent for Indy, but Garrard is probably the better of the two.

I'd be begging Kurt Warner to make another comeback if I'm Indy.

Thanks
Well I can definatly tell you that the "cowgirls" will finish behind the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS.
It's kind of like a tradition nowadays isn't it?

The 2010 NFL season opener between New Orleans and Minnesota drew 22.5 million viewers. In 2009 the season opener drew 20.1 million viewers Any guesses on this year's New Orleans-Green Bay opener?

That 22.5 mill is a huge number but I'll bet this year is significantly higher. I'll go with 24.5 million, though 25 mill+ wouldn't shock me. You can pretty much guarantee everyone in Wisconsin and Louisiana will be tuned in.

I think this whole lock-out ordeal has actually helped to build additional anticipation towards the upcoming season.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a new record this year.
