If you wait beyond the 2nd round for a RB, you will likely have to settle for Murray, Wilson, Sproles, Lacy, McFadden, etc. And while I do like Wilson and Sproles, I don't like their value. I wouldn't want to take them until beyond the 5th.

The only two RBs I would take in the 3rd round are Bush and Gore... but they'll be gone early in the 3rd, so it depends where I'm picking.
I always go RB,WR,WR,TE,RB,QB,WR but this year was the first time I ever had the first pick in my 14 team league.. so I had to play my cards different based on waiting so long to pick again.. so I went this year RB,WR,TE,WR,QB,WR,RB,WR

I think it worked out pretty good. I got 3 number 1 wrs on their teams.. and I'm banking on Bernard to win the starting job at some point this year over the law firm.. I also have a feeling Antonio Brown and De Jackson will have 1000 yd 8 plus td years this season.. especially with no Wallace or Maclin for them to worry about

Yeah, I almost got killed a couple years ago when I mentioned in this thread that I could get NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Center Ice, MLB Extra Innings and Nascar Pass for $30/month...

We're Canadian, Mikey.....things are better north of the U.S. border.

Any interest in a bet for our week one matchup in Cleveland?

Last year my QB smoked all RB's and WR's in points. I am convinced that the QB position is the most important in all drafts.

Although, I may just be saying this to throw off my opponents in Nav's pool.

had no choice, there was none left worth taking until that point, I went with next best to help my team.. Giovani Bernard will be a top 15 RB this year so I'm not worried..

depends how your league is set up.. in my league QB's all put up the same range of points.. Brees, Manning, Brady, Rodgers were about 20-30 pts ahead of the rest, everybody else is about the same for points

Agreed, Focs. We have a 10 player league, which is (IMHO) a perfect #.

see a 10 player league after the main 4 qbs are gone it really doesn't matter anymore.. I would focus on the next available.

I have the 5th pick and 4 QB's that I want. Guaranteed I get one of them and start the draft on a positive note.

middle of the draft in the 10 team league puts you in a great spot.. honestly if your league is drafting heavy on qbs and when its your turn to pick and AP, Charles, Spiller are there you have to take them. and on the way back I would go top WR.. if you skip qb until the 6th or 7th round you can have a scary team.. and you would probably be looking at Ryan, Kaepernick, Luck, RGIII, Romo, Cutler, Flacco, Eli.. and honestly these guys will all be in the top 10. with the fifth pick you can grab a stud RB and a stud WR then come back with a Top TE and another top WR.... having one top RB and 3 great WR's make you win fantasy football, I've been using this philosophy for a while and have won over 10 grand in my leagues in 8 years of playing.. not to shabby

also im in a 14 team league that does IDP.. its much harder and makes you really dig deep for the sleepers in the later rounds.. the majority of the players in my league would be FA's in 10 and 12 team leagues worthy of a waiver wire pick, but they are much more in my league.. I enjoy the 14 league because it forces you to do your homework, oppose to a 10 or 12 team league where everybody has stacked teams putting up crazy numbers every week

anyone you take with the 5th pick will start your draft out on a positive note unless you pick a DST or a TE first. Obviously if you had the #1 pick you would pick AP but i can see why you would take the top 4 QBs at any time. Rodgers the first QB take in my draft was taken #14.

I almost had Ridley fall to me at #24...but i will take AP and Jones-Drew as my RBs
