Look at Walrus, he is a Jets fan, we should be sending him cyber hugs every week, he still sticks by his team and hasn't even seen his team play a superbowl game! dude has heart and pride; and I respect him for that
I was an optimist/homer until the 2010 season, I literally cried when Brett Favre smoked us in the 2009 play-offs when I thought we were good enough to win a Super Bowl. I find it is easier to be a Cowboys fan, at least physical and mental health-wise if I try my best not to get too emotionally invested in the games. To me(and I know some people disagree with this) blind optimism when there is no reason for it is foolish but I know a lot of people have it anyway because watching the NFL is a chance for them to escape from the real world for 3 hours and just watch their team play. I feel really bad for Romo today, he literally carried the team on his back and was the main reason we almost beat the 5-0 Broncos and his mistake came at the worst possible time. Still has (I think) about 1500 yards, 13 touchdowns and 2 INTs on the season 5 games in, that's outstanding. I hope for his sake he can get out of Dallas before he completely breaks down and gets to compete for a title on a team with real contender potential on it, not this circus act in Dallas.

Yup, thanks a lot baseball, at least I won in fantasy this week to improve to 3-2 and probably won my bet with a co-worker that I would score more points than he did this week in fantasy. Thanks for the 40 point fantasy fill-in performance, Romo.

Tony Romo threw for 5 TD. He shouldn't have been in a position to cost the game with an Interception.

Romo's year:

13 TD. 2 Interceptions. 71.8% completion. ~110 Quarterback rating. ~8 yards/pass.

This team is clearly 2-3 all due to Romo. Defense giving up 500 yards in two straight games? Irrelevant, it's all Romo.

The people who are in denial are the people who think the Cowboys have sucked for the last 7 years because of Romo.

No, the team sucks because Jerry Jones overpays a whole bunch of mediocre players. Even at positions where the starter is good, the backup is beyond godawful. Which, incidentally, is why the team trails off in December. The starters get hurt and the Cowboys get even worse, and they aren't good to start with.

The belief that you swap out one player on the Cowboys and they become a powerhouse is an absurd fantasy that Cowboy-fan idiots have, because they want to believe this team is better than a 3rd rate bottom feeder.

How can it be a blowout for the Broncos if their defense is Swiss cheese? Orton would carve their Swiss cheese defense up

Romo is throwing to a 30 year old tight end in his 10th(I think?) season and then a bunch of also-rans. Terrance Williams looks like he might have something but he's been more miss than hit so far. I AM a Romo detractor at this point but the man threw for 500 yards and 5 TDs and was the main reason we scored 48 points today and we LOST. Anyone blaming him for the loss is either so emotional they can't be objective or is just a Romo hater or both. Never mind the defense giving up 51 points or the fact that while Romo was having the game of his life we didn't run the ball more to control the clock better or that Dez fumbled. It's "all Romo's fault".

It is Romo's fault, if he did not throw the pick, they might have gotten into field goal range and won the game

Lol I remember when you said Romo was the reason the cowboys suck. Like I told you before, build a team around Romo and you'll see results. I don't even know why they got rid of Rob Ryan in the first place last year. I think Jerry Jones just wants to put the blame on someone else rather than admit the players he bought/drafted are garbage.

Romo is not the reason the Cowboys suck, however he is the lynchpin in how Jerry likes the Cowboys - exciting enough to sell tickets and make the fans think they're good enough to contend when really they're a hair below mediocre. He's not a big game QB either, he does put up really nice numbers but has yet to turn those into a total of more than 1 play-off win, in spite of the talent we had in 2006, 2007 and 2009.

The cowboys roster back then was no better then it is today. Who besides a couple players are doing anything special today from those rosters? You told me before that refused to give romo a break and that for as long as he's our QB, we would never win a Super Bowl. Now you are saying if our team as a whole was better, Romo would have a chance, at least that's what I got from you from saying Romo should demand a trade a romo before he breaks down.

Dallas' defense wasn't giving up 400 yard passers every week and 30+ points, the defense is historically bad. Romo is a borderline elite QB that has a penchant to make mistakes, a better coach would manage his passing volume every game to 15-20 and run the ball more, which would help Romo minimize his mistakes, help the offense as a whole score more consistently and keep the worst Cowboys defense I've ever seen off the field more. Romo is good enough to win a Super Bowl on a team with more talent but as far as I can tell, Jerry will never surround him with good enough players and coaches to get it done in Dallas. He probably won't be able to play at this level for more than 2-3 more seasons anyway, the man is practically my age after all. He sure is a popular whipping boy and it's not hard to see why when he has a tendency to make mistakes in critical moments.
