1. There weren't that many fans cheering, a lot of people had signs supporting Schuab. I think the people who were cheering were just the people who badly wanted a QB change. When we were down 25 points late in the third quarter, Kubiak should have made the QB change then, there was no point of leaving Schaub in the game to risk injury

2. I like how the media keeps reporting about how awesome it is that Kansas City set the record yesterday for having the record for loudest stadium. When just last year the Kansas City fans cheered Matt Cassel getting knocked out cold with a concussion. (Yes, it's pretty bad if fans do cheer Schuab's ankle injury, but it's despicable to cheer a guy who is knocked out on the ground with what could be a career ending concussion or life threatening spinal injury)

3. I felt like the Texans players were accusing all the fans of cheering for Schaub's injury when it was just a few fans, and the players were doing that in post game interviews instead of taking responsibility for their poor play. Everyone (except Arian Foster) played awful the last 2 weeks. You have to remember it is the fans shelling out tons of $$$ each week (in a bad economy) to come see millioniares play a game. And when a team is suppose to be Super Bowl contender and when the team doesn't show up at all, you can bet fans are going to be mad.

4. Matt Schaub filed a police report last week and there were rumors of people showing up at his house and berating him. It turns out it was just people driving by and taking pictures of his house. I know David Carr wasn't a very good QB and he played on some terrible teams but he always remained calm when dealing with the media and fans. I remember in one of Carr's last games as a Texan a small group of fans threw stuff and cursed at his family (this was seen by one of the reporters by the Houston Chronicle), but Carr stayed calm and cool through out the post game interviews and never said anything bad about the fans. In other words, David Carr put up with a heck of a lot worst and truly awful teams, but he wasn't blaming fans and filing police reports.

Texans players and even Chris Long are ripping into Texan fans today

Arian Foster Comments
Quote:
For starters, there was Arian Foster -- who is always quite outspoken -- calling the cheers "tactless and tasteless."

“That is just tactless and tasteless. I was extremely heated at that," Foster said. They have to go home and look at themselves in the mirror and if they were born to hurt a man, that's fine. They can do what they do. The fans can get emotional. That is just not how I was brought up. That is not the kind of man I am. I've got to go home and raise a daughter, and teach her right from wrong.

"That is just not something you do. I don't care how you feel about a man. You don't kick him when he is down."
Andre Johnson Comments

Quote:
Then there was Andre Johnson, who pointed out that there was "no class" involved and how far off the rails things have gone when your opponent is lamenting the fans' behavior.

“No class. It's bad when members of the other team are saying that's messed up that they would do something like that," Johnson said. "It just shows no class. It wasn't all of the fans, but those are the same people when you're out somewhere with your family and you tell them they can't have an autograph right now, they are the same people that tell you you're rude. It's no class. It just shows what they're all about. You don't cheer about anybody being injured. I don't care who it is. Guys lay their bodies on the line out there on that field. Some guys get injuries and it affects them their whole lives. For them to cheer about something like that, it just shows they have no class."
Chris Long's Tweet

Quote:
If you were at Reliant stadium and cheered Matt's injury, you are a poor representation of your fan base and a bad example to young fans.
T.J. Yates Comment

Quote:
"Yeah, that is disrespectful," Yates said. "The guy is laying there on the ground holding his ankle, and the fans are cheering. For all that guy has done for this city and this team, for the fans to be booing him when he is hurt on the ground, straight up disrespectful."
Johnathan Joseph Comment

Quote:
"They gonna do that, don't show the f*** up."

What makes this so bad is we were expected to contend for the Super Bowl and unless we turn this thing around quick, we will miss the playoffs.
I'm curious how NY Giants or Atlanta Falcons fans feel right now. I would like to see what is being said there.

I'm not in Atlanta, but it's sports radio is nothing but overstatements from the lowest common denominator of fans. That said, the Falcons have been destroyed by injuries. It's not a matter of them not producing as much as it is a case of them not being on the field in order to produce.

I wish we could use injuries as excuses for why we have been playing bad. We did lose Owen Daniels last week and Danieal Manning this week but we were already playing bad before these injuries.

Kubiak should be on hot seat

His team gets dominated by top competition all the time despite having just as much or more talent

He has to be. I told my father in-law yesterday I wouldn't be surprised if he was fired today. That didn't happen, but Kubiak is clearly on borrowed time.

DeMarcus Ware likely to miss 3 to 4 weeks.

Quote:
The Dallas Cowboys knocked off the Washington Redskins on Sunday night, but the team's third victory of the season came with a cost.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that DeMarcus Ware is expected to miss three to four weeks after straining his quadriceps muscle, per a source who spoke with the pass rusher.

Losing Ware is crippling. He remains one of the NFC's premier edge rushers and a solid run-stuffer. We've been impressed with the inside pressure Jason Hatcher has created this season, but Ware's absence can't be masked. He told reporters he could barely walk after the game and it seemed obvious he wouldn't immediately return.

Neither will running back DeMarco Murray, who sustained a sprained knee against the Redskins.

A source told Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Murray is unlikely to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but Dallas remains hopeful he'll return against the Detroit Lions in Week 8.

Cobb supposedly out for multiple weeks.

The Green Bay Packers will not have leading receiver Randall Cobb for multiple weeks but could have receiver James Jones back in time for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Schaub made that team something.... and yet he's still completely shit on by the fans. Guess they'll go back to ignoring their team off to another city now.

Schaub has done good for a few seasons but he has not MADE this team something. He has never been the best player on this team. And before you talk about the team leaving, at least know why the Oilers left. It was not for lack of support. Once it became clear that Bud Adams was going to move the team that is when the fans stopped going to the games and honestly who could blame them.

It's with even WINNING teams right now.

My guy, Jay Cutler, throws ONE bad pick, there's 50 posts on how they should sign Josh Freeman or Matt Flynn.

Like watching an a in game discussion when they play is depressing on the Bears forum. All the 'Fans' do is crap on every single player and cry that the sky is falling and then Cutler will throw a TD, win the game and everyone loves him again.

I think it's just the Veruca Salt douchebag society the USA has evolved into. I WANT IT NOW. They expect these guys to make every single play, every single play and win every single game...not realizing the people on the other side of the field are getting paid just as much to do the same thing.

Duh.

When the Bears had Grossman, we had the lame booing fans too.

99% of fans that can afford to go to the games seem to meatball fans for most teams sadly.
