They're kind of like the Texans in 2011 and 2012... Won a ton of games against terrible teams and got embarrassed every time they faced a good team. Everyone (except me) seemed to consider the Texans Super Bowl contenders each of the last three years. Show me something and beat a good team. We shall see, but I expect the Cheifs to finish 12-4, which isn't very good considering the fact they're 8-0 right now. |

Im not saying theyre good/bad im just saying their strength of victory doesnt mean anything in the long run.
To go back to my patriots example: 2 years ago they beat 0 teams with a winning record & made it to the super bowl. 1 year ago they beat 3 teams with a winning record & yet didnt make it to the super bowl. So i dont see how beating winning/losing teams reflects on what a team will eventually do. |

Like I said... 2011 and 2012 Texans are much better comparisons in this instance. Chiefs are a very good team. Don't get me wrong. But everyone is acting like they're the best team in the league. Beat the Broncos. Then I'll buy the hype. |

EJ returned to practice today, but won't start this week. He should be good to go next week against Pittsburgh though. But Thad Lewis isn't practicing, and Matt Flynn can't even beat out Jeff Tuel. It remains a possibility that it could be Tuel time against the Chiefs.

If the refs had not missed the delay of game call when we faced the Ravens in the playoffs, we go on to win the Super Bowl. Not a doubt in my mind. But beyond that blown call, we gave that game away ourselves. You guys are built to be pretty good for a while... I just don't think Alex Smith is enough - or maybe he is enough if given the opportunity to throw down the field more. He made a couple nice throws to Avery deep against us, but one of those was pretty lucky - McCourty could've stepped in front of the first one and picked it off, but he kept running like a dummy. Why the hell is Bowe not being thrown to??? Gotta get him involved more. Then that will really open things up for the offense. All that said, I don't see how the Chiefs could truly be a top 3 team right now. They deserve to be #1 or #2 in the power rankings because they're undefeated, but if I had to really rank them, record aside I'd put them closer to #7-8. That's still pretty damn good, but I don't see them going far in the playoffs... I will probably pull for you guys in the AFC if the Titans aren't in the playoffs. I go for teams who've struggled for a long time. Bengals and Chiefs in the AFC would be the teams I support in the playoffs. Everyone else can suck it. As for CJ... No. I'm done thinking this guy is going to do anything. I'm cautiously optimistic that he's going to have a great second half of the season due to the schedule easing up, but I'm not holding my breath. Shonn Green is finally back and about to start getting a lot more carries. He's honestly the perfect fit for our team. I'd rather get 3-4 yards consistently than -1,0,0,1,2 from CJ with only a slight chance that he'll break a big one now. Either way, I don't want CJ here next year. I never wanted us to pay him in the first place. I can only imagine what we could've done with all that money had we invested it toward other positions. Behind the right OL - like Houston's - I think CJ could be dominant. But he's clearly not as fast as he should be. Odds are he is done though. |

Yep. I was pissed. Looking at the schedule, when we were 10-0, I thought we had a really good chance of going 16-0. ****ing Favre.
We blew out Pittsburgh without Vanden-Bosch and Haynesworth, and it was a game that determined home field advantage. If we had gotten by the Ravens, we would've slaughtered them again and gone on to the Super Bowl, which I don't see us losing. I can't even talk about this sh*t. Makes me sick. |
