Unlike my team, we lose a guy like that are whole team goes to sh*t. That being said we are going to get our ass beat, its going to get ugly.

Dude... It means something. It means they still haven't proven much.

They're kind of like the Texans in 2011 and 2012... Won a ton of games against terrible teams and got embarrassed every time they faced a good team. Everyone (except me) seemed to consider the Texans Super Bowl contenders each of the last three years. Show me something and beat a good team.

We shall see, but I expect the Cheifs to finish 12-4, which isn't very good considering the fact they're 8-0 right now.

Im not saying theyre good/bad im just saying their strength of victory doesnt mean anything in the long run.

To go back to my patriots example:
2 years ago they beat 0 teams with a winning record & made it to the super bowl.
1 year ago they beat 3 teams with a winning record & yet didnt make it to the super bowl.

So i dont see how beating winning/losing teams reflects on what a team will eventually do.

But they played the 8-8 Broncos in the playoffs and won against the Ravens because Lee Evans dropped a game winning TD and Cundiff shanked the kick. At the end of the day though, the Pats have Tom Brady and the Chiefs have Alex Smith. There's really no comparison. It's not exactly a fair comparison.

Like I said... 2011 and 2012 Texans are much better comparisons in this instance.

Chiefs are a very good team. Don't get me wrong. But everyone is acting like they're the best team in the league. Beat the Broncos. Then I'll buy the hype.

If anything, none of the media are acting like the Chiefs are the best.I think we're top 3 for sure.

I like the Dolphins and Bengals but I aint watching NFL on Halloween.

Though it would be cool to see people in the stadium in costume. I wonder if that will happen and how security will deal with it.

EJ returned to practice today, but won't start this week. He should be good to go next week against Pittsburgh though. But Thad Lewis isn't practicing, and Matt Flynn can't even beat out Jeff Tuel. It remains a possibility that it could be Tuel time against the Chiefs.

I'm just saying, man... enjoy the hell out of it right now, but don't get your hopes up too high. You will never know how crushed I was when our team that started 10-0 (had homefield advantage and no Brady playing that season) went one and done. I lost control at the end of the game, and then I just stood there in the stadium in shock for about 10 minutes. The 2008 Titans and 2013 Chiefs are very similar teams too. Very, very similar.

If the refs had not missed the delay of game call when we faced the Ravens in the playoffs, we go on to win the Super Bowl. Not a doubt in my mind. But beyond that blown call, we gave that game away ourselves.

You guys are built to be pretty good for a while... I just don't think Alex Smith is enough - or maybe he is enough if given the opportunity to throw down the field more. He made a couple nice throws to Avery deep against us, but one of those was pretty lucky - McCourty could've stepped in front of the first one and picked it off, but he kept running like a dummy.

Why the hell is Bowe not being thrown to??? Gotta get him involved more. Then that will really open things up for the offense.

All that said, I don't see how the Chiefs could truly be a top 3 team right now. They deserve to be #1 or #2 in the power rankings because they're undefeated, but if I had to really rank them, record aside I'd put them closer to #7-8. That's still pretty damn good, but I don't see them going far in the playoffs... I will probably pull for you guys in the AFC if the Titans aren't in the playoffs.

I go for teams who've struggled for a long time. Bengals and Chiefs in the AFC would be the teams I support in the playoffs. Everyone else can suck it.

You don't have to tell me twice to enjoy. I'm a Chiefs fan. Haven't won a playoff game since Montana. Crushed dreams in the DV era. no luck since then. One game at a time. Go Chiefs.

I'm just saying temper the expectations a bit... All I could think about when we were 10-0 was the Super Bowl, and when it didn't happen I was a loose cannon and pissed for months... I'm still pissed.

2-14 last year so there are no expectations. Just letting it ride. Our defense is top notch. offense needs help.As for your team, you think cj will ever be a top rb again?

Chiefs D is definitely for real. Seattle's is the only one that comes close. They have a better secondary, but you guys have a much better front 7.

As for CJ... No. I'm done thinking this guy is going to do anything.

I'm cautiously optimistic that he's going to have a great second half of the season due to the schedule easing up, but I'm not holding my breath. Shonn Green is finally back and about to start getting a lot more carries. He's honestly the perfect fit for our team. I'd rather get 3-4 yards consistently than -1,0,0,1,2 from CJ with only a slight chance that he'll break a big one now.

Either way, I don't want CJ here next year. I never wanted us to pay him in the first place. I can only imagine what we could've done with all that money had we invested it toward other positions.

Behind the right OL - like Houston's - I think CJ could be dominant. But he's clearly not as fast as he should be.

Odds are he is done though.

Yep. I was pissed. Looking at the schedule, when we were 10-0, I thought we had a really good chance of going 16-0. ****ing Favre.

We blew out Pittsburgh without Vanden-Bosch and Haynesworth, and it was a game that determined home field advantage. If we had gotten by the Ravens, we would've slaughtered them again and gone on to the Super Bowl, which I don't see us losing.

I can't even talk about this sh*t. Makes me sick.

Hilariously ironic that Sean Lee would win NFC defensive player of the month playing on the worst defense in the league.

If Favre's arm didn't fall off, we would have given a lot of team problems.
