It shouldn't be too serious. They didn't want him to go back in and risk a serious injury over one game.
Packer radio stations are claiming they have heard it's a fractured or broken collar bone. That would be the season.

I think the Bears keep Cutler and McCown. McCown doesn't want to be a starter, and when teams get enough film on him, he won't be very useful anyways. Cutler says he is coming back 2 weeks early to face the Lio9ns this week.

It's crazy, but BOTH meetings with the Lions have been over first place this year.

I was glad to be totally wrong, but for as much garbage talk Packer fans have been slinging the last two weeks on Cutler, the Kharma train really kicked that team in the nuts.

Funny thing is is that at my jobs, their crap talk got even worse.....'Oh, you beat a BACK UP QB....big deal!!!!'

Ummm, but had the Packers had Rodgers come back and beat McCown it would have been a quality win??? Or when they took down Caleb Hanie to win the NFC Game 4 years ago????

When you have cheese for brains, I guess standards are different for ya?

a win by either team wouldn't have been a quality win. the only difference is the Bears knew coming in that their backup was the man an had the last 2 weeks to prepare.....the packers didn't.

hope they bring Flynn in as a back up and hopefully he pushes for the starter spot....there's no way Rodgers didn't break his collar bone.

I wonder what quarterback the Packers will bring in. I don't see them bringing in someone completely new so I really only see three options. Scott Tolzien is on their practice squad and they gave him a big raise last week because they were afraid someone was going to sign him to their active roster, and they wouldn't have done that if they didn't think he could play. Vince Young spent time in training camp with them so he's at least familiar with the offense. Matt Flynn would be the third possibility. He still needs to clear waivers and it's possible (although unlikely) that a team could claim him just to block him from the Packers.

that's exactly what i'm thinking. and it's a good 6-8 weeks for something like that.....so basically.....unless we can bring a guy in and they can sneak into the playoffs as a wild card team....our season is done.

That sucks for Rodgers, that's about 2 months of heal time which goes into the postseason.

EDIT: ESPN states he can be out up to 3 weeks.

If it's only 3 weeks the Packers could be fine. Their next 3 games are at home against the 4-5 Eagles, at the 2-6 Giants, and at home against the 1-7 Vikings. Even with Seneca (or another QB) it's very possible they could go 2-1 or 3-0 during that span.

i can't see them not picking up Flynn if he's avail. he's played in our offense and did well.

you'd think he'd be a better option than Wallace who looked like he was still learning the playbook last night.

Yeah, in high school wrestling I broke my opponent's collar bone during a match in early January and when I saw him about 6 weeks later he was still in a sling. It may just depend on the severity of the break, because Adam Schefter is calling it a small break.

Looking @ the bright side of last night’s game…..Lacy is a top 10 running back in the league right now!! He’s doing better than the last 2 RB’s to come out of Alabama!!!

I still can’t get over how well he’s doing w/how sh!tty our offensive line was the last couple of years!!!

I was in a sling for 2 weeks with my broke collar bone..was able to do normal things in about 4-5 weeks. Almost needed surgery too

i guess it's all speculation until we find out how severe the injury is.

i'd imagine if they rush him back.....1 good hit and he'll just reinjure it.

If it's only 3 weeks Packers could theoretically be fine against bad/sub-par teams. Who knows, the way this year is playing out a Jets/Bears super bowl wouldn't surprise me.

Ted Thompson is a better GM than resorting to going out and picking up old hack QB's waaaay past their prime.

This is the Packers we're talking about....not the Vikings who pick up everyone else's leftovers.

Wonder which QB that hack Frazier will turn to this week, I were him I'd go with Cassel, Ponder is an absolute bum and I'm not convinced Freeman actually wants to be in the NFL.
