Sad thing is I'll bet Incognito plays another NFL game before Martin does. People will praise Martin and attack Incognito (rightfully so). But in the end teams won't want a "snitch" in the locker room. And that's how Martin will likely be viewed.

Couldn't be farther from the truth...what team will want this racist, scumbag? Any team who does in fact decided to pick him up...they will be viewed as a POS franchise and viewed as jokes by lots in the sports world for getting. So Martin will be playing long before that scum

Uh... What?

Incognito will likely get released and may possibly never play another NFL game again, while whenever Martin returns he'll likely get placed back in the starting lineup.

So you think teams will want a racist, problem causing punk that will be a major distraction in the locker room before a "snitch?" (which isn't fair to call Martin that). Plus, you act like he's not a part of the Dolphins. You act like he's a free agent.

And Riley Cooper. Ya... he really suffered for his public, racist rant. A few columnists like Peter King were talking about what Cooper has had to "overcome" this past weekend. Don't underestimate the public's love for sob stories of "redemption" from lowlifes like Incognito.

You mean like Riley Cooper? If anything Incognito's racism seems to be better received than Cooper's was. A lot of his Dolphins (now former teammates) are defending/justifying Incognito's actions. Seems a lot of guys just see it as part of the hazing ritual nonsense.

Oh believe me, I hope Incognito never plays another NFL game. I fully support Martin, even though I think he should have stood up to Incognito sooner. The only way to stop a bully is to stand up and punch him in the face. They prey on those whom they perceive as weak. It just seems like sports franchises and fans are overly forgiving with even the biggest scumbags.

I can't believe how many players and fans are viewing Martin in a negative light after all of this. I even heard some of his teammates saying you just gotta be tough. LOL! They aren't the ones getting the crazy, threatening voicemails.

Incognito called him a ******, said he was going to slap his mother in front of him, take a sh*t in his mouth, and kill him. But Martin's teammates are all like "you just gotta suck it up blah blah blah." Yea... I'm sure Mike Wallace would be perfectly fine if Incognito had called him a ******, threatened to slap his mother, sh*t in his mouth, and kill him. Way to go, Dolphins teammates. I know for a fact that sh*t would not fly on the Titans (and most teams)... our guys would immediately hate Incognito and support Martin. He's more than welcome to join our team... we'll be needing help at the tackle position.

I haven't heard one single Dolphins player stand up for Martin and say that Incognito was way out of line and not welcome on their team or in the league anymore. Everyone is saying Martin should just grow a pair... how about his teammates grow a pair and stand up for him.

My initial response was that Martin was way too soft, but once the details came out I changed my mind completely. Guy was tormented by a punk ass b*tch. I wish Martin had just beaten his ass down one day.

Incognito was acting on the orders of his coaches! WTF is wrong with the Dolphins! More heads to roll in Miami!

Quote:
Posted by Mike Florio on November 5, 2013, 9:56 PM EST

When Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald visited PFT Live on Tuesday and we discussed the possibility that Dolphins guard Richie Incognito’s treatment of tackle Jonathan Martin came at the behest of a coaching staff hoping to make Martin tougher, Salguero predicted that, if that ends up being the case, a lot of people will be fired.

A lot of people apparently will be fired.

According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Dolphins coaches asked Incognito “to toughen up” Martin after he missed a voluntary workout during the 2013 offseason. Kelly cites “at least two” unnamed sources.

Per the unnamed sources, Incognito may have taken his orders too far. Specifically, the sources tell Kelly that the racially-charged voice message from Incognito to Martin came after skipped two days of the team’s voluntary OTA program.

“Incognito was encouraged by his coaches to make a call that would ‘get [Martin] into the fold,’” Kelly reports.

Regardless of whether Incognito took his orders too far, those who gave the orders will be facing serious consequences, if the report is accurate. Management-level employees can’t pull the rip cord on a reputed nut job and then throw their hands in the air and say “that was an overreaction” when the local enforcer is overly zealous with his methods of enforcement.

Apart from the fact that the report suggests a violation of the rules regarding voluntary workouts, the report indicates that the coaches set in motion the events that resulted in Martin leaving the team due to ongoing harassment by Incognito. Even though Kelly’s report focuses specifically on communications occurring in the offseason, it’s quite possible that the effort to toughen up Martin was as extensive as the cinematic effort to “train” PFC William Santiago.

To summarize, one of the biggest messes in recent years is about to get a lot messier. And if Kelly’s report is accurate, more people than Incognito will soon be former employees of the Dolphins.

Unless someone has actual quotes I can't place any real blame on the Miami coaches.

Coaches tell players things like get mean, we've got to destroy them, go for the throat and the like all the time. None of that would make the coaches even slightly to blame if a player took these things too far.

I view "toughen him up" in the same way. Mike Golic talked a lot about how Buddy Ryan would toughen up a "soft" player, and none of it crossed the sidelines, they would do it all on the field.

Ricky Williams went on radio and claimed Martin orchestrated the whole thing by keeping tests and voice mails and releasing them publicly. Just about all the support from players seems to be for Incognito. I'm thinking these ridiculous hazing rituals are going on in every NFL locker room, though probably not to the extreme Incognito took it.

Yeah Pierre Garçon was on Mike & Mike and said he felt sorry for Incognito.

A man was arrested Monday night after he used a stun gun on his wife three times at a local bar following the Bears’ win over the Packers, according to a published report.

The wife reportedly called police at 12:39 a.m. after John Grant of Tinley Park, Ill., used a stun gun twice on her butt and once on her thigh while the two smoked a cigarette outside of the bar in Mayville, Wis.

Grant, a Bears fan, told police he and his wife, a Packers fan, had made a bet on the Monday Night Football matchup between the NFC North rivals – if the Packers lost, he would get to use a stun gun on her.

A report indicates police reviewed the woman’s text messages and cellphone video and determined the bet was true and the wife did consent
.

Grant was still arrested and charged with use of an electric weapon. If convicted, he faces up to $10,000 in fines and six years in prison.

Current players need not say anything about this. So far, precious few of them have sounded remotely intelligent regarding the situation.

What a mess. I don't believe Miami's coaching staff meant for Incognito to leave racially charged, mother threatening messages for Martin. If nothing else, it leaves a trail. But the overall point is that you don't give someone like Incognito--who has a history for thick-headed behavior--control over anyone or anything. He was on the team's LEADERSHIP COUNCIL, FFS. How stupid is that? That's where you blame the coaches. Don't put known idiots in positions of power.

A lot of people deserve to lose their job over this. They created an environment where something this ridiculous could happen. No one should be subjected to anything like that.

So apparently Dolphins players don't have a problem with Incognito using the n-word towards Martin because they consider Incognito a black person. From the link:

Quote:
Well, I've spoken to multiple people today about this and the explanation from all of them is that in the Dolphins locker room, Richie Incognito was considered a black guy. He was accepted by the black players. He was an honorary black man.

And Jonathan Martin, who is bi-racial, was not. Indeed, Martin was considered less black than Incognito.

"Richie is honarary," one player who left the Dolphins this offseason told me today. "I don't expect you to understand because you're not black. But being a black guy, being a brother is more than just about skin color. It's about how you carry yourself. How you play. Where you come from. What you've experienced. A lot of things."

Another former Dolphins employee told me Martin is considered "soft" by his teammates and that's a reason he's not readily accepted by some of the players, particularly the black players. His background -- Stanford educated and the son of highly educated people -- was not necessarily seen as a strength or a positive by some players and it perpetuated in the way Martin carried himself.

This has been all over ESPN since Friday…..all you see is video of him……i’m pretty sure Incognito is the whitest person on the planet!!

Apparently being an @$$-hole is enough to make you an honorary black person.
