Why are people so high on LA getting an NFL team, as though it's some guarantee of success? LA has had several teams before. Every single one flopped. Maybe the problem isn't San Diego or Oakland, it's a California problem. When it comes to the NFL California reminds me a lot of Florida. No real fan loyalty to any particular team and mostly fair weather fans who only show up if the team is 13-3. I'll bet if the Jaguars moved to LA their attendance would be just as bad as it is in Jacksonville after the honeymoon wears off, which would be fast as long as the team sucks.

SF has always done pretty well. Where else would SD go? Can't think of a good place that would draw the crowds like LA. Almost any city is better then SD...talk about fairweather

Yup (though they did still score). I understand why a player on his feet needs to be called down if he loses his helmet for safety, but with a player being tackled and going to the ground, how does bringing the ball back help protect him at all?

Oh please. Just look at the video. Tomlin intentionally stood in the way of the Ravens player returning the ball, affecting the play. This isn't much better than that Jets coach who intentionally tripped an opposing player a few years back.

I'm not surprised by Tomlin's tactics to slow down Jacoby, but I'm surprised the refs didn't call anything. He CLEARLY was on the white stripe then put his foot in bounds. That's cheating, no doubt about it.

He should have to buy Jacoby Jones something rather than paying a fine.

I honestly don't see how anyone can think Tomlin didn't intentionally interfere with Jones' kick return. The NFL needs to take serious action, coaches have to be held to a high standard. I'm not one that claims cheating very often, but that was blatant.

It's being reported that the NFL is looking into disciplinary action. I'd expect just a hefty fine. Supposedly even if it were called during the game it would have been only a 15 yard penalty. Kind of stupid. So basically a water boy could trip a player returning a kick all the way to prevent a TD if that's true.

It's up to the refs discretion. They can award a TD if they believe the interference prevented a score.
