Glad we got blown out... Just one week closer to being free of Munchak. Also... Did you guys read the stuff from NFL Network?... Just rumors, but it was reported by Rappoport that Munchak is likely to be fired, CJ likely to be released, and we are targeting Cutler in the offseason.

It made it by a foot, if that. But I have seen him make some 55+ yarders that had an extra 15 yards on them.

I knew it was only a matter of time until he broke the record. He's got a hell of a leg. Should've known it would be against us.

maybe CJ2K can go to a team that can open something bigger than a mouse hole for him

or he pulls a haynesworth

Yea... I think he can be good elsewhere. He's shown flashes every time he's be in open space this year, which isn't often due to our crap OL.

I wonder if Mike Shanahan keeps his job through the end of the day. It's clear he wants out and there's no question he leaked to his old buddy Adam Schefter the story that he had cleaned out his desk and planned to quit after last year's playoff game, although it would have been too obvious he leaked it if Schefter broke the story so they had a Giants beat writer report it first. Snyder may keep Shanahan through the end of the year and try to find proof that he leaked the story so he could fire him with cause and not owe him a $7 million buyout.

I'm curious who the next Redskins coach will be. RGIII's coach at Baylor Art Briles is rumored but I really don't know if he'd leave a great situation at Baylor where he's beloved and where a new stadium is opening next year to go into the dysfunction in Washington, even if he got offered a couple million more per year. Briles signed a new deal last month that pays him over $4 million per year through 2023.

I don't know where the dysfunction is in this franchise is. By all appearances it had stopped once Cerrato left, but who knows. Maybe Synder is sticking his nose in. I just don't see why he would have when they went on some epic run and won the division...

Either way this team is back to cluster fck status.

Shanny seems like he's making excuses though.

I'd love to see Lovie Smith come here.. But regardless who comes I think they'll fail lol.. This team just can't win.

It's now confirmed that Gronk has a torn ACL and torn MCL and is out for the season. The Pats plan on re-signing tight end D.J. Williams, who spent a week with the team in late November/early December.

They need to cut their losses with him... He's the Greg Oden of the NFL.

As people feared there is going to be a lot more of these types of injuries with the BS "make safe rules" the NFL is handing everyone.

If you saw the game you would not be saying that it was a low hit with the helmet that bent his knee at a 45 degree angle, was hardly his or pats fault.

Regardless dudes always hurt, I'm sure other guys who get hurt constantly have falls/bends that aren't their fault.

Gronk played every regular season game his first 2 seasons, 11 games last season, and 7 games this season, that's nothing like Oden who missed 3 entire seasons in his 5 years in Portland. In addition Gronk's 2014 salary is guaranteed and is only $3.75 million anyway. Barring another major injury or ineffectiveness next season they'll almost certainly keep him in 2015 as well when his salary is only $4.75 million. 2016 is when they'll likely either need to cut him or restructure his deal because he's due a $10 million option bonus in addition to $2.25 million salary.

Ok well you know AP was hurt again yesterday as well possible Lisfranc injury guess Minny needs to cut him as well. Welker got concussed again so he needs to be cut. RG3 has busted up both ACL in both legs, as well as not having mentally recovered from his previous injury as shown by his play, should the skins cut him as well?

How bout you run full speed at me and ill run full at you and put a helmet to your knee and well see how well you fare?

All of the above is sarcastic and ridiculous yes but no more then cutting him for an injury he never could have avoided.

When the refs keep making bogus calls to help the Pats win does it even matter what players they have?

Thats a bit of a stretch and flawed sarcasm, but yes lmao if they all continued on that trend thats where they'll end up.

It was meant to be so thank you for perceiving it as it was intended. On the plus side while his sophomore year has been disappointing from a fantasy standpoint Rg3 should hopefully be heading into next year injury free with a new HC that wont sacrifice him to the wolves as Shanahan did his rookie year. If Skins shore up that D then they should be in good shape. Maybe that will give him the confidence to plant that front foot and step into his throws.

Lovie Smith sounds as if he will be first man on deck to interview for the Texans' coaching vacancy. Not sure another defensive minded coach is what they need to get them out of their current mess but not my call.

No but it does satisfy the roonie rule and he was a 10 win coach

I think Lovie or Ken Whisenhunt gets the Texans job. They said they want a coach with NFL head coaching experience and there aren't many established former coaches out there. They aren't going to bother talking to Gruden and they supposedly don't want Shanahan even if he's fired. Both Lovie and Whisenhunt took teams to the Super Bowl but neither was ever able to really develop a quarterback. Lovie's teams were always led by his defense and Whisenhunt's success was largely due to Kurt Warner, as they were terrible the 3 seasons after Warner left. That has to be somewhat concerning when the Texans will likely have the #1 pick and a big need at QB.

Cut their losses with the best TE in football with another freak injury? If you saw it you would see there was nothing he could have done. Or any WR in that position.

Cut AP. He got hurt again

Jason Witten doesn't suffer horrific season-ending injuries but he may be the toughest tight end to ever play the game. Gronk just isn't very durable, Hernandez getting busted for all those murders definitely didn't help either.

Hernandez has nothing to do with gronk getting hurt. If witten is running the same route as gronk with the exact same hit yesterday he doesn't tear anything? He tears everything just like gronk did.
