Hoping Rodgers, Lacy, and Matthews are all out on Sunday. That way even when Cutler messes up, my Bears still have a great chance of winning!

The Cowboys signed Jon Kitna as their third quarterback (backup if Romo doesn't play) for Sunday. Kitna is now a high school math teacher and football coach in Tacoma, Washington, and he's donating the $53,000 he'll make Sunday (1/17 of veteran minimum) to the high school where he works.

Who's A-Aron? This all but wipes out any chance the Bears had of winning, unless of course they can take out A-Rod early in the game before he can substantially affect the score.

How the Vikings and Redskins went from 10 wins last year to 4 wins or less this year so quickly boggles my mind a bit but I doubt either head coach will be employed past next Monday.

Aaron Rodgers was just cleared He Lacy and Cobb are all in

Quote:

Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) has been named the Packers' Week 17 starter.

"Any football player that plays Sunday will have risk," coach Mike McCarthy said in making the announcement. "We’ve done our due diligence. We feel it’s time for Aaron to play." The Packers have been remarkably patient with Rodgers' health, but with everything on the line in Sunday's NFC North championship game against the Bears, decided it was finally time to roll the dice. Rodgers will undoubtedly have some rust to knock off, but is an elite QB1 whenever he takes the field. The game will have shootout potential at Soldier Field. Rodgers' return thrusts Jordy Nelson back into the WR1 ranks. James Jones will be a boom-or-bust WR2, with Jarrett Boykin a high-upside WR3. Of course, that calculus will change if Randall Cobb (leg) joins Rodgers in returning.

Cobb probably won't be much of a factor but the Packers have so many weapons it won't matter unless the Bears can consistently pressure A-Rod.

are you nuts??

Cobb not only adds another target for Rodgers but another WR that the Bears have to account for.

Jones, Nelson, Cobb, Lacy in the backfield and w/Boykin and Quarless adding what they can......that 29th ranked defense in Chicago is going to have a lot to worry about!!!

Packers are similar to the Saints, they have so many receivers they can lose starters and plug in back-ups and they really don't lose anything. It's the defense that's terrible and that's the only reason I think the Bears have any chance.

it depends which defense shows up. the 1st 4-5 weeks of the season they were a top 5 def......then it all went to crap.

hopefully the Cutler from the last game of the 2010 season shows up.

SOS always seems to play a roll, plus everyone forgets they were this bad early on and had to rip off 7 straight wins to get to 10, fluke fumbles going their way, everything just fell into place for them.

bottom line I feel like last year was pure dumb luck for them.

I was kind of hoping Romo would be able to play just because that would have made ESPN look terrible after they went all-in on Adam Schefter's report that Romo would be out. If he had played that would have been a major hit at Schefter and ESPN's credibility. However, there was a very slim chance that Romo was going to be able to play and I'm sure the Eagles have spent most of the week preparing for Orton.

Schefter did get it early lol do you not like him? He seems a little more pompous since he left NFLN but I still enjoy him.

Schefter tends to get it right though, unlike most of the maroons that work for BSPN. Still surprised he opted to go there, BSPN doesn't have the best reputation.
