I would be surprised if Garrett gets fired. Jerry Jones has staunchly defended Garrett and said last night that Garrett is safe.

It may end up that no more coaches are fired. Mike Munchak of the Titans is the most likely coach to get fired, but his status seems truly uncertain, especially after winning their final 2 games (albeit against 2 of the worst teams in the league). It sounds like the Lions are likely going to keep Jim Schwartz, which may have to do with the $12 million buyout he'd be owed if he's fired.
Garrett is the yes man type coach that Jerry wants. Even though he has severely underachieved, he might survive for another year because frankly I don't think Jerry wants to fire him.

There's a lot of speculation that the Browns will hire Josh McDaniels as their new coach. Browns GM Mike Lombardi worked under Bill Belichick when Belichick was the Browns coach in the 90s and practically worships him, so it's understandable he'd go after a Belichick assistant.

I've read some speculation the Browns might try to trade for Patriots backup QB Ryan Mallett rather than draft a QB. When Lombardi worked for the NFL Network he graded Mallett as the best QB in the 2011 draft. Since Mallett is only under contract for one more year there's a good chance the Patriots would consider a trade, although it's hard to gauge his value when he's only gotten minimal playing time during blowouts.

A coin flip to decide who picks first between the Cowboys and the Ravens? Chances are Jerry will botch the pick but that's still annoying.

Browns are a joke of an organization. Only desperate coaches and players who were drafted will go there and everyone should leave the first chance they get.

Surprising firing, all indications were Schiano was safe:

Jay Glazer ‏@JayGlazer 1m
Greg Schiano and Mark Dominik have been fired!
Schiano could end up fine because all indications are Penn State wants him to replace Bill O'Brien if O'Brien goes to the NFL.

Two best jobs right now, Lions and the Texans job. If I were a coach that's were I would want to go.

I heard on a sports radio show driving into work this morning that there may only be 4 total coaching firing this year. We're now at 6 firings, with decisions still to be made by Tennessee and Oakland.

Allen Park -- The Lions on Monday fired head coach Jim Schwartz, a source told The Detroit News. The source also confirmed that defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham and offensive coordinator Scott Linehan were fired, too.

Yes and No, He changed the teams attitude from being a joke into a working class blue collar team which we like. The problem is the inmates ran the asylum. Not to mantion he made some BONEHEADED CALLS. Rumor has it there going after Chower and Gruden, Ownership took Gruden out the Lions Monday night game against Baltimore.

I don't know if Cower if ever going to come back. The problem with Gruden is you never know if he is really interested or just using you to keep his name relevant.

Supposedly the Vikings are interested in hiring a college coach, and of course the Texans are trying to hire Bill O'Brien. The Redskins are supposedly interested in Baylor coach Art Briles. I know he was RGIII's college coach but I just don't know if it's worth leaving a great situation at Baylor where they have a new stadium and he's well-paid to come to the NFL.

Schwartz turned our organization around and he deserves plenty of respect for that... but still he wasn't able to control the locker room at all and has made plenty of dumbass moves (last Thanksgiving giving the game to the Texans.) Kind of pissed to see coaches and coordinators go and Mayhew keep his job.

This Gruden rumor intrigues me althrough that's what I'm sure it is, just a rumor.

He would be an RG3 lackey and I would actively root against RG3 if he got Art Briles in here... You had a good season that doesn't mean you get to pick your coach and run the show.
