Sherman graduated in 2010 from Stanford with a degree in Communication and returned for his final year of eligibility in order to begin a Masters degree.

No Wrong DEAD WRONG 1 Call does not change the outcome of the game. Not in a game like this, 3 turnovers by Kapernick in the 4th quarter changed the outcome of the game. I wish people would stop blaming the refs for 1 bad call, it was a bad call yes but it does not change the outcome of the game. SF had the opportunity to win and blew it via turnovers. What's to say that yes OK they get that 1st down after the kicker call and Kapernick fumbles again or throws another int 1st play? I agree it is a bad call but do not sit there and say it changed the game.

The problem with looking at just the QBs PO record is it doesn't take into account the rest of the team they played with those years. Football is a team sport. Eli's got two rings because of the teams around him the years he won it.

In today's era of free agency and salary cap it is much harder to keep a nucleus of players together and windows of opportunity close much faster. Look at the Packers from 3 years ago, they looked unstoppable. Same thing with the Saints. Both are dangerous teams but they aren't the same contenders of couple of years ago.

Enjoy the current success Seattle and Denver fans. It won't last forever.

The NFL is all about parity. That's great for fans but don't expect long term success from your squad.

Nobody hates the Seahawks more than me. Or the Niners...I was having a serious crisis yesterday trying to decide who I hated less and wanted getting beat by Peyton (it turns out, the Seahawks were the lesser of two evils yesterday). But I actually liked what Sherman did. Usually I'm with most of you and would like to see some humility but Crabtree is a punk and this Super Bowl wasn't going to be short of villainy but just in case, we've got it now.

That being said, I'm definitely pulling for Peyton.

The pearl clutching over Sherman's antics is hilarious. First, the whole wrestling heel persona is calculated. This isn't the so-called thug mentality so many are quick to label him with. I've seen interviews where he was normal and insightful.

Second, the Seahawks and 49ers stay at each other's throats. Both sides talk smack. Crabtree has been talking non-stop, supposedly since a charity golf tournament last summer. If Crabtree had caught that ball for a TD, do you really think he would have walked away from Sherman quietly? Nope, Crabtree would have tap danced all over Sherman. If you give it, you have to take it at times--Sherman, Crabtree, whoever.

Sherman is one of the few trash-talkers who seems to know how to play the media game. The moment opened up for him, and he took it.

So this could explain Sherman's feeling toward Crabtee, although there has to be more to the story:

Sherman’s older brother, Branton, told Jerry Brewer of the Seattle Times that it was Crabtree who started the animosity between the two of them, several months ago. Branton Sherman says that both Richard Sherman and Crabtree attended Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s charity event over the summer, and that when Sherman approached Crabtree to shake his hand, Crabtree tried to start a fight.

According to the report, Sherman’s response to that was, “I’m going to make a play and embarrass him.”

Getting amped up works for some players and teams and sometimes I wonder if Belichick's business-like approach can backfire.

Unlike the 49ers or seahawks, it felt like the Pats weren't doing everything they can to win. They aren't playing with passion in big games.

San Francisco linebacker NaVorro Bowman stripped the ball from Jermaine Kearse in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game and appeared to go to the ground with possession of the ball.

But the officials ruled Marshawn Lynch recovered the fumble and the play wasn’t reviewable.

That could be changing this offseason.

The league’s competition committee will look into expanding replay to include the recovery of a loose ball, a source told Pro Football Talk.

“Currently, the replay rules exempt such plays because every post-fumble pile up would entail a potential replay review,” writes Mike Florio.

But Bowman, who suffered a torn ACL on the play, clearly went to the ground with possession of the ball and then lost it in the pile.

The 49ers trailed 20-17 at the time, and Lynch’s recovery gave the Seahawks the ball on San Francisco’s 1-yard line. But Seattle also fumbled on the next play, and this time the 49ers recovered.

Totally with you on this one. The one thing I might poke a hole in is that when you go berserk on your buddies, it's different than on someone you're not so cool with. But then to that I'd say, it sounded like Crabtree earned it.
