Now that Toby Gerhart went to the Jags, hopefully the Vikings don't overreact and pick up one of these overpriced FA's. A 5th or 6th round rookie RB should be servicable this year.

I could see Moreno backing up AP that would be a nice combination, could even get some nice 2 back sets in there. No idea why Minny never ran those with both backs. same mistake the Lions made with Barry

To put day one in perspective, "hope" is what keeps us coming back every year. The hope of $60+ million in cap money was nice but i'm glad Oakland went ahead and ruined it in just one day. Now I can get back to basketball. LOL

Yeah, I would definitely take Nicks over Decker. (Assuming he can stay healthy) If you can get Decker for a fair price, great. He just isn't going to be the same without Manning and Thomas.

I love D-Ware too but he wasn't even in the top 10 Cowboy players last year.

I hate to do it but I applaud Jerry because he _finally_ let Football triumph over his personal feelings about a player. It just sucks that it's on a player as beloved as Ware.

When I said build through the draft I was speaking more in general than one single draft. But that statement applies to the Rams situation very well. In case you've been under rock, the Rams have had quite a plethora of draft picks they've received from the RGIII trade. They've used these selections to select guys like Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Alec Ogletree, etc. They've also got two first round picks this year including the number two overall pick. So building their team via the draft might not be a bad idea. These past two years in free agency we've spent big on Cortland Finnegan and Jared Cook and they've yet to pay off. Since we're setting pretty in the draft I have no problems with them being quiet in free agency and focusing more on the draft.

Most people here have been bantering with us for like half a decade and "lol" is as informal as it gets... Hardly a reason to assume I was mocking you or something.

And you know what the odds of them picking up 3+ Quality players and long term contributors a second draft year in a row? I'm guessing if an odds estimate was calculated on it, it would be astronomical... Nobody was implying that wasn't a way to build a team, what I was saying is relying on a single draft isn't much of an answer either.

That's true it should take 3 drafts to build a team into a contender from an Expansion.
