University of Michigan football star Taylor Lewan will be charged with three misdemeanors for an assault in Ann Arbor on Dec. 1, and is scheduled to be arraigned next month, according to court records.

Looks like the Allen to the Seahawks reports may have been premature:

Jared Allen's agent, Ken Harris, texted his client will "consider Seahawks offer along with the others, and make a decision this weekend."

This could be a negotiating ploy to get other teams to go after Allen, or it could be Allen's agent is trying to get the Seahawks to up their offer.

And it sounds like Schaub is going to be dealt to Oakland for a late round pick. The linked article doesn't mention it but I'm sure Schaub is going to have to work out a new deal with Oakland because I can't imagine they'd pay him the $10 million he's due for 2014.

Yeah, who would possibly want to play for a team where all you have to do is make a single play in order to get way above market value $ on your next payday?

This is so true. I like how one of the reports about all the defensive players leaving in free agency would be blamed on Romo.

Adam Muema, the former San Diego State running back who left the combine because he said God told him to leave and he would be drafted by the Seahawks, did not show up for San Diego State's pro day yesterday. Muema was scheduled to be there and really needed to show up so NFL scouts could see him, both to see how he looked physically and to get a feel for his mental state. I'd say it's a pretty sure thing now that he won't get drafted.

Well this is embarrassing:

Titans defensive end Adewale Ojomo has been jailed and accused of soliciting a prostitute.

The Miami Herald reports that Ojomo was booked into jail this morning in Miami, where he played his college football for the Hurricanes.

According to the arrest report, Ojomo approached a female undercover officer during a sting and offered $100 for sex. He also reportedly said to the officer, “You got condoms? I need to get some.”

Ojomo is a virtual nobody so I would expect him to get released fairly quickly.

I can't believe the Raiders are actually going to pay Matt Schaub the entire $10 million salary (plus $1 million in roster bonuses) his current contract calls for him to earn. If he hit the open market he wouldn't make half that. I know that the Raiders have plenty of cap space but that's an awful lot for a guy that had an NFL record 4 straight games with an interception for a touchdown.
