Yeah, I only turned it to ESPN a couple times last night during NFLN commercials. I think the NFLN guys are much better than the ESPN guys, and from the sounds of it ESPN's coverage was just hours of Jon Gruden praising Manziel, saying he was a good fit with every team, and being shocked every time a team passed on him.

NFLN is so much better. And anytime the guys say something that doesn't come true I flash back to their playing days and all is forgotten.

I'm thrilled. If someone had told me yesterday morning that the browns would come out of the first round with the top rated corner, Manziel and buffalos first rounder in 2015 I wouldn't have believed it was possible.

ESPN mock has the Falcons taking OLB/DE Demarcus Lawrence from Boise State with the 5th pick today. I'd really like to see them pass on him and grab GT's Jeremiah Attaochu. Last GT LB (Keith Brooking) they took lasted for a while. And Attaochu is a guy that works super hard. And it's not much of a stretch.... ESPN has him going 8 to Seattle.

it was a huge issue because most were rookies. we will have to see this year how those sophmores perform. if they are bad then yes, it's going to be a huge issue

That would be scary to me just because of the name and how bad we were during the Carr years. Although, I do have to give it to older brother David because he took all of that punishment from not having an O-Line yet he still managed to get back up for the next play.

I always felt bad for David. It was almost impossible to succeed behind that line.

God I hate people that complain and claim they're Jaguars fans. Reading local messages boards, news comments etc all morning. Bunch of negative people because we passed up on Johnny. Oh I'm not buying season tickets this year because of this draft pick blah blah. We passed up on Tebow, and now Manziel.

Once we get back on track on winning then they want to jump on the bandwagon.

Cruz, compare the numbers. I guess what you have to do is look at film and see which QB was more NFL ready. Manziel had some serious its all about the money for me character issues that have never fully been addressed because he played for A&M so the autograph thing was swept under the rug by ESPN and the administrators and the NCAA.

At the same point in time while you my need a QB the question here is did you draft the right one. Personally I think Bridgewater is the most NFL ready QB in the draft and the Vikings got him.

Fans were retarded if they felt Tebow would save your franchise, even at the combine they tried to get him to come out as a TE and change what he did but the stubborn donkey demanded he be a starting QB. Personally I would have traded down if I was the Jags and gotten more picks to build my team right. They could have easily dropped down multiple times and gotten Bridgewater and probably walked away with an additional first this year multiple 2nd rounders this and next year, but that's just me.

Yeah, Adam Schefter was saying this morning that he thinks the Jags could have taken the Bills trade that the Browns ended up with and still gotten Bortles at 9. He said the Browns, Raiders and Bucs weren't considering Bortles and it's unlikely the Vikings would have taken him. At worst they could have taken the Bills deal and then dealt the Bucs a mid-round pick to move ahead of the Vikings to ensure they could get him. He said that the Jags were in love with Bortles though and didn't want to risk losing him.

Bortles and Manziel are going to bust, oh well not my team. After taking only 1 offensive lineman in the first round in the first 29 years of owning the franchise, Jerry has taken Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin 3 of the past 4 years. I still say we need another guard, Leary's knees are going to give out soon and he's not a starting caliber LG anyway. Want to come away with a DE in the 2nd round and a DT in the 3rd round. Trade back into the 3rd round and get a safety and then this draft will be good in my eyes.

Vikings got the QB they wanted and they waited like they should have, personally Viking and Rams have stolen the show this year and in my opinion have probably had the best draft so far. Rams defense is going to be sick this year, now they can go on and get WR and or TE in round 2 and boom they are golden.

unlike the Lions who took 10+ Receivers the past 8 years and 2 TE first round in the last 5.

I deal with Tebow fanatics all day everyday in person at work. When I want to discuss legit football, Tebow and his past always has to be brought up. He's God to them from what I see. It's very sickening. To get a good talk in sports I have to chat with security. They're not bias at all when it comes to sports!

Anyway, a good friend of mine mentioned that we should of traded down for more draft picks and we would still get a QB 2nd Round but I stressed that Blake wouldn't be available and we would of missed out on a good QB. I read a short article about our GM Caldwell and according to his opinion. Blake fits our system well. This year's QB class doesn't look ready to play in their first year. He said when Andrew Luck was drafted, he was NFL ready because he dominated the game when he played in college. Same goes for Matt Ryan, when we drafted him when I was in Atlanta. Ryan was NFL ready and it's proven over the past few seasons per Caldwell.

I don't know, it's all talk. We won't know nothing until we start playing

They still need to figure out how to keep Bradford up right for an entire season. Also they are in the toughest division in the league so they might miss the play-offs by virtue of that alone.

So who's he going to throw to and hand off to? You don't take a QB #3 overall unless you have a team in place for him to flourish with or you end up with a busted pick.

Well tell the Tebow fans to STFU look at his work and if they still want to hang on his jock to turn on the SEC network in a year and see if he still has a job.

It just pisses me off when I look at the draft and I see a team like St Louis, and Cleavland, and Minnesota do so much right and then I see my team doing the same shit over and over and I wonder what it is going to take to change the culture and philosophy regarding the way our front office runs this team.

With the Jags in your case, trading down makes to much sense we have seen teams where an adequate offense and a great defense have won a superbowl. 2001/02 Ravens perfect example, 05 Tampa team. I still in my heart believe Khan plans to move that team and this is all a precursor to the inevitable move. You should see the posts here on our news sites fans are pissed, reporters are pissed. The only ones thinking they did good are Mayhew and Lewand.

Round 2, Pick 12 (44)
Round 3, Pick 11 (75)

Take 2 OL and they should be good, I bet there's an OL starter in the bunch that will fall to St Louis.

I would hardly consider MJD a wrecking ball, maybe 2-3 years ago he could have been considered that.

I actually think Toby Gerhart will do well in Jacksonville.
