Sounds like the Cowboys think it's a torn ACL which would end his season. You have to wonder what the Cowboys were thinking when they gave Lee a huge contract last year. He was coming off an injury which limited him to 6 games the prior year and hadn't played 16 games in any of his first 3 seasons. He then went out in 2013 and only played 11 games, and now it appears like it may be 0 games in 2014.

You really think that much of a guy who returned to school because scouts gave him poor marks when he was deciding on whether to enter the 2014 draft?

The Dallas Morning News reports the Cowboys believe ILB Sean Lee has a torn ACL.

That's what has been widely speculated, but the Cowboys won't know for sure until they get back Lee's MRI. Lee got his left knee hung up getting pancaked by first-round OG Zack Martin in a "non-contact" drill. Among his many, many other injuries, Lee tore his right ACL at Penn State.

He likely would have been the first pick in the draft this year if he had come out. He knows Oregon has a real chance at a national title next season, and another year to hone his craft will only improve his NFL prospects. I think it's not outside the realm of possibility that he goes #1 next year before Winston.

There's a decent chance the Cowboys get some kind of punishment over the Lee injury. The CBA mandates that OTA's are non-contact, and there's video of Zack Martin blocking Lee to cause the injury. Even if it was just a case of a rookie being overanxious or trying to impress the team with his intensity it could lead to the team being docked some practice time in OTA's or training camp. In 2012 the Seahawks lost 2 days of OTA time because of impermissible contact that was occurring. If the NFLPA demands an investigation it will be tough for the Cowboys to escape some sort of punishment.

Domenik Hixon (WR, Bears) also tore his ACL yesterday. Sounds like it might be the end of the road for him

Aaron Hernandez was arraigned today for the drive-by murders of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado outside a Boston club in July 2012. He pleaded not guilty, and for the first time, the prosecution offered a suspected motive: disrespect.

According to the D.A., Abreu accidentally bumped into Hernandez, spilling a drink, and did not apologize. This infuriated Hernandez, who according to the prosecution felt he had been increasingly disrespected at clubs. Surveillance video captured Hernandez angrily pacing outside the club before the victims left.

The victims had no idea Hernandez was angry at them, let alone that he was following them when they left the club. According to the prosecution, Hernandez pulled up alongside their car at a stop light, said "Yo, what's up now, [racial slur]?" and fired at least five shots.

Hernandez's attorney complained that the case has been a media spectacle, and the coverage has unfairly biased observers against his client. The court magistrate fired right back, saying the trial has so far been speedy, transparent, and fair.

Hernandez was ordered held without bail, and will next appear in court on June 24.

Bills finally did something right

Bills signed No. 4 overall pick WR Sammy Watkins to a four-year contract.

Based on No. 4 pick Lane Johnson's contract from last year, Watkins should expect close to $20 million and about a $13 million signing bonus. The deal also comes with a fifth-year club option for 2018. The Bills gave up a 2015 first-round pick to jump up from No. 9 to 4 overall and snag Watkins. He's expected to start on the outside opposite Mike Williams and share slot reps with Robert Woods. Watkins is lethal in the open field and brings a ton of YAC potential. He's a tackle-shedder who will see plenty of wideout screens and quick-hitters.

Nothing will really change. The Glazers have already released a statement saying they will maintain ownership of the Bucs and Man U. He already had his sons in chairmen positions with the Bucs and Man U and had largely turned over the day-to-day running of the teams so the transition should be fairly seamless.
