They'll be better than 4-12. No doubt about that. But what are you guys going to do about that defense? And the OL is still pretty bad, right? I'd guess 8-8.

I'm excited to see what Devonta Freeman can do though... I drafted him in my dynasty league. I think he's gonna be good.

This usually means bad new for fantasy owners (like me )
That didn't last long. From Rotoworld:

Quote:
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs have signed RB Jamaal Charles to a two-year contract extension through 2017.

So much for that holdout. Charles is now the second-highest paid running back in the league behind Adrian Peterson and is locked up through his age-31 campaign. The Chiefs' first practice is Thursday. On his previous deal, Charles was scheduled to make $3.65 million in salary and bonuses this season. There's a good chance he doubled that on his new contract. And it's well deserved after Charles put the Chiefs' offense on his back and carried them to the playoffs in 2013. Charles is entering his age-28 season. He's a top-three fantasy back.
More details to follow...

There was a little luck in that championship game, but the Seahawks have been slaughtering the Niners in Seattle the past couple of seasons.
2-2 in the Regular season the last two years, all 4 games won at home.

Seattle has won big at home, but I think the two teams are MUCH closer than you'd believe if all you saw was the 49ers @Seattle games.

Yes, but we're talking about a Niners team that may be without Aldon Smith and Navarro Bowman for a while. Also I would be concerned about their corners.

Still gotta give the Seahawks the nod, but yes the two teams are pretty close. Homefield dictates those games.

I'm not allowed to do big sports bets this year.

Wife and I just had a baby 3 months ago.

No bullshit though, we are winning the division. I honestly believe that in my heart.

I think we have a much better shot at winning our division than you guys do, but I've learned not to get my hopes up for this team. I will continue expecting 8-8 until they prove me wrong once again. I think there's a lot of potential with this team, but it all rides on Locker's shoulders, and I just get the feeling he'll be hurt by week 5 again.

Congrats on the baby btw!

Sidney Rice's NFL career has come to an abrupt conclusion.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Rice has decided to retire due to concussion concerns, according to a source who has spoken with the wide receiver. ProFootballTalk first reported Rice's retirement. The team later announced the news.
NFL Exposure
Sidney Rice through the years
Sidney Rice retired on Wednesday after seven seasons in the NFL. Take a look at the best photos from his career.

Rice, 27, had been expected to be in a camp battle this summer for a role as an outside receiver in Seattle. He re-signed with the Seahawks in April after being released as a salary-cap casualty in February.

Injuries have been a major part of Rice's career arc since being taken in the second round of the 2007 draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He's missed 25 games since the 2010 season and had been recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Week 8 of last season.

Rice's best season came in 2009 in Minnesota (the good Brett Favre year), when he had 83 receptions for 1,312 yards and eight touchdowns. That performance led to a Pro Bowl nod and a five-year, $41 million deal with the Seahawks in 2010. It was a contract general manager John Schneider lived to regret.

Rice's sudden exit provides some clarity along the Seattle depth chart. Jermaine Kearse is in good position to land the No. 3 receiver role behind Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin. Kevin Norwood and Ricardo Lockette, meanwhile, have one less competitor for a roster spot.

Yeah, it would have been a surprise if Sidney Rice made the Seahawks and he surely knew it. The Seahawks have four locks at receiver to make the roster in Doug Baldwin, Percy Harvin, Jermaine Kearse, and 2nd round pick Paul Richardson, and 4th round pick Kevin Norwood would seem like a near-lock. That leaves one spot, and they would likely want to use that spot on someone who could play special teams.

Sidney Rice did good gettin paid like he did. Favre made him look like a stud, and the Seahawks paid for it. I like Rice, but I'm happy for him to go out on his terms.

Falcons Extended Roddy White... not to sure about this one
Quote:

Falcons signed WR Roddy White to new four-year contract with up to $30 million.

It's a three-year extension with $10 million guaranteed. White was entering the final year of a six-year, $48 million deal he signed in August of 2009. Now he's tied to the Falcons through 2017 and will get $18 million over the next two years. It's a long deal for a 32-year-old receiver, but White showed he has plenty left in the tank by averaging 8.6 catches for 100.4 yards with two touchdowns over the final five weeks of last season. The career-long Falcon will remain a focal point of the offense along with Julio Jones, forming one of the game's best receiving duos. White's current fantasy ADP is the fourth-/fifth-round turn, where he is a value pick with lower-end WR1 potential, particularly in PPR leagues.

I've got mixed feelings on that as well! There's no doubt the guy is a beast! Ager 32, 36 when the deal is over...would give me a little cause for concern. Everybody ages differently, and they guy has a pretty good track record when it comes to injury and recovery. I know I would want the guy on my team!
