You're talking about max penalties allowed by law. When it comes to first time offenders there are sentencing guidelines which are almost always MUCH less punishment that the maximum allowed by law. Considering Rice's fiancé was not cooperative and in fact staunchly defended Ray Rice made is very difficult for the court system to give Rice anything more than a slap on the wrist. My understanding is that his punishment (sadly) fit the crime given the circumstances of the case. It's the laws that need to be strengthened.

How is that Goodell is so evil in all of this, but nobody is going back to the scene of the crime? Female senators are jumping on this. Where were they when this all first broke? Oh but wait, the NFL shield is on the table now, in the form of Goodell's reputation...so now we have a Billion dollar corporation to use as a sounding board.
Sorry, not buying into any of this Goodell hate. Like I said I'll wait for the investigation to run its course.

They are soft as hell now. I didn't want to believe it, but Tomlin draft class's have been trash. No impact players on either side of the ball. I will give him Pouncey and Antonio Brown, those are the only players worth a damn on the team.

What about Polamalu and Big Ben? There have to be some good players left, Super Bowl teams don't go to pot this quickly unless they're the 1995 Cowboys.

Well he always was a big hitter and he got banged up a lot when he was younger, doubt he's the same player he was even 2-3 years ago. I'd still take him over glassman Wilcox and lead-footed Church.
