My favorite part of Goodell's interview. Not only was he off by a mile in claiming Robert Mueller is the longest serving director of the FBI, he also shrugged off the idea that Mueller just might not be 100% impartial due to the fact that his firm has represented the NFL in the past.

Q: Why hire someone with even the appearance of impropriety and how do you expect us to accept everything?

A: I respectfully disagree. You are questioning the integrity of the director of the FBI. Yes, that firm has represented us in the past. They have also been on the other side in litigation against the NFL. So this is a highly respected individual, the longest serving director in the FBI.

Gholston's career is over.

We will see about Jordan's. Obviously not the best start but he showed potential last year, am curious to see how he responds when he gets back. Seems REALLY too early to write him off.

To all of you who said the NFL investigation was not a joke regarding the Ray Rice thing here you go. Another bombshell the NFL itself lobbied to get Ray Rice into the Intervention program. Dick Cass the Ravens president and head NFL person in charge of the "investigation" sent a letter to the prosecutor urging ray Rice be admitted AFTER knowing the contents of the second video.

According to Don Van Natta, Jr. and Kevin Van Valkenburg of ESPN, Ravens president Dick Cass learned in early April that the contents of the video from inside the elevator were deeply troubling. Specifically, lawyer Michael Diamondstein told Cass that the video is “f–king horrible,” and that Rice “knocked her the f–k out.”

Per the report, Cass began urging Diamondstein to get Rice accepted into a pretrial intervention program. Among the benefits Cass reportedly articulated to Diamondstein was the fact that the video of the incident would not be made public.

The Ravens repeatedly have criticized the prosecution for allowing Rice to enter into the intervention program based on such heinous conduct. But the report from Van Natta and Van Valkenburg contends that prosecutors initially rejected the intervention program. Only after Diamondstein produced nearly 30 letters of support (including one from Cass, G.M. Ozzie Newsom, and coach John Harbaugh) did the prosecution agree.

We can only hope that the Robert Mueller investigation will review all of this information. If they don't, then we'll know, that, "the fix" was in.

Later Friday, the Ravens released the following statement to the general media: "The ESPN.com 'Outside the Lines' article contains numerous errors, inaccuracies, false assumptions and, perhaps, misunderstandings. The Ravens will address all of these next week in Baltimore after our trip to Cleveland for Sunday's game against the Browns."

I know what the Ravens are saying lets keep in mind this is the same league that ignored 56 cases of domestic violence hitting Goodells desk since 2006. The NFL has no credibility atmo when it comes to denying anything. The Ravens the team most responsible for this debacle currently is the team that is denying it. I highly doubt ESPN just shot that report out without talking to multiple sources and verifying the information.

While watching surveillance video -- shot from inside the elevator where Rice's punch knocked his fiancée unconscious -- the officer, who told Sanders he just happened to be a Ravens fan, described in detail to Sanders what he was seeing.

Sanders quickly relayed the damning video's play-by-play to team executives in Baltimore, unknowingly starting a seven-month odyssey that has mushroomed into the biggest crisis confronting a commissioner in the NFL's 94-year history.

"Outside the Lines" interviewed more than 20 sources over the past 11 days -- team officials, current and former league officials, NFL Players Association representatives and associates, advisers and friends of Rice -- and found a pattern of misinformation and misdirection employed by the Ravens and the NFL since that February night.
